In the base game you start with 21 special points The original mod without the unofficial patch would set the special points form 21 to 40 However with the unofficial patch the special points would be set to 33
Yes it does look odd when you add all the points together as they surpass 40 but the original mod was suppose to let you start with 40 special points and so this compatible version of the mod was made to fix that bug with the unofficial patch
