Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to move this from a resource to something I can place in game? Even just under console commands, doesn't have to be something set up for workshop creation.
yeah or at least allow us to build it? would do it my self but creation kit won't work for me and all I want to use it for is just this boat so i can make city on it lol
little less then a year later and honestly, I just can't find one that shows how. Best bet is to go through some a whole @$$ series of tutorial till you find what you need, unless you have better luck looking for the specifics.
Can someone turn this asset into something buildable, or even make it a settlement? This and the last instance would be very nice to achieve my goal of building a big @$$ post war navy.
If this isn't you messing around, he fixed it by editing its mesh which, cannot be done in game normally. Technically, this is an entirely new asset separate from the normal cargo ship, even though its just the normal cargo ship edited to be repaired.
You may have to create a patch for Sim Settlements 2 players like myself if replacing a location for it, as a fixed cargo ship means you may not be able to access a location inside (quest relevant for said mod). A patch can simply transfer said door (somewhere inside the ship) to the sides (left or right) and keeping the fix at the same time. Only relevant for anyone making changes/straight up replacement to said cargo ship I referred to.

You can turn the ship's hull red instead of the vanilla rusted orange by going to the Nif file and changing the BSLightingShader Property name to
Materials\SetDressing\Boats\BoatMetal01.BGSM
Good day to you
