General Information

There are several small z-fighting (object flickering) issues and one occlusion error in Inside Jobs. This patch just nudges offending objects to stop the visual glitch. In the case of the occlusion error it is simply covered over by a new object because I didn't want to regenerate precombines.

Unfortunately it is difficult to capture z-fighting in screen-shots. You can go to the following locations without the patch to see what I'm talking about.

Fix Locations

1. Beach House

  • Problem - Upper floor bedroom door frame z-fighting with floor
  • Fix - Nudge the door frame down by 0.2 units

2. Listening Post Tango Bravo

  • Problem - Occlusion error in the boxing room causing a white strip along the wall
  • Fix - Place a trash pile over the occlusion zone (melds into trash pile already present along the same wall)

3. Mass Pike Service Room

  • Problem - Two pieces of rubble under picnic table z-fighting with each other
  • Fix - Nudge one pile of rubble down by 0.2 units

4. Rotting Manor

  • Problem - Ceiling piece above stairs leading to upper floor z-fighting
  • Fix - Nudge ceiling piece down by 0.2 units

  • Problem - Ceiling piece above stairs leading to lower floor z-fighting
  • Fix - Nudge ceiling piece down by 0.2 units

  • Problem - Floor piece at second story landing z-fighting with stairs and other floor pieces
  • Fix - Nudge floor piece up by 0.2 units and back by 12 units

Installation

  • Download and install with the mod manager of your choice
  • Load this plugin after InsideJobs.esp

Frequently Asked Questions

(Q) ESL version?

(A) Unfortunately this can't be done. The item used to cover up the occlusion error in Listening Post Tango Bravo is not compatible with ESL tags. If you know of an alternative object I could use instead to cover the error let me know and I will update the patch.
