this doesn't seem to work for me. i still have the same black sections on the hands. i tried both installing with vortex and manually putting both files in the data folder. any suggestions?
Is this still needed for users of the "CBBE Reduced (with dismemberment)" version (under optional files), or is this only for users of the main version of CBBE?
Looking in BodyStudio, it appears that the segment data is identical for both your FemaleHands.nif file and the file from the optional version of CBBE.
Would probably be a good idea to report and submit this fix to CBBE team as well, because this mod sadly won't have the same amount of attention and userbase coverage as the CBBE itself.
Also, I'd suggest to take some in-game screenshots with before fix / after fix comparison, so it would be clear to those that look at pictures yet never read the mod description.
Another small nitpick, which would help users that download mods manually, is to use the mod name for the file instead of "Main download", because this is how the mod's archive ends up being called as.
Segment data handles VATS targetting and dismemberment. Tells the game what's an arm, a leg, head etc. It's why so many outfits on Nexus are bugged and appear as the whole torso when you target an enemy in VATS.
