I haven't tested it, but if Transfer Settlement works with it in general, swapping out the workshop section (like for using a different Conquest settlement) should work.
OK, I gave it a try but it looks like Transfer Settlements is not compatible with Settle Everywhere. The game crashes reproducibly when I try to export a settlement.
it does that to be with imports as well but only in certain locations. far harbor being one of them. for the most part though they play nice with each other. i was able to use it at the glowing sea crater to. not sure if it is an issue with the two mods or if settle everywhere is being weird
Maybe it's a conflict with some other mod that I'm using. I tried two locations and a save game just after leaving the vault, but I have tons of mods in this profile.
settle everywhere.. the only conflicts i can think of at the moment is any mod that tries to allow custom placed workshops. what happens if the workshop section in the blueprint is outright deleted?
I did some more testing and got the export to work in most places. The problem was Buffout 4's memory allocator. If either the HavokMemorySystem or MemoryManager patch is enabled, the game crashes when exporting a Settle Everywhere workshop. But importing still doesn't work. I tried multiple locations in a fresh game with only the required mods for Settle Everywhere and Transfer Settlements and it always crashed immediately when I tried to import a blueprint. (I couldn't test importing in the Glowing Sea crater because I couldn't even export there without a crash)
hmmm might be a missing fix? i can import/export in the glowing sea without issue. maybe buffout 4 needs further tweaking? i think i did alot of tweaking with it when i installed it
That was without Buffout 4. I tested the Glowing Sea with my existing game with many mods but all other locations (where it crashed on import) in the base game with just F4SE, the address library, Settle Everywhere and Transfer Settlements, on a fresh game. I'll look into adding a Clipboard version here if things go well with the Clipboard support and new installer for my next building. While Clipboard has made the game unstable right after an import or export, the actual import and export work very well in my experience. I've only encountered one minor issue on the new project.
Hi, this is a very nice build! Question, do you know if it's possible to build this at a Vanilla settlement rather than via Conquest? I tried following the instructions at the bottom of the description page and subbed in the workshop info for a Starlight DriveIn blueprint to see if it was possible, but though I got all of the notifications, nothing actually built. I also tried using Clipboard, which worked but some things like the grass floors used as walls didn't load in with their correct positions.
Objects in Transfer Settlements have a fixed position in the worldspace. Swapping out the workshop doesn't change where they are built, only which workshop they are associated with. But it should be possible to build the blueprint at the original location and then copy everything with Clipboard and paste it to a different location.
You may need to keep the orientation intact for the rotated objects (like the grass walls) to work. I don't think it's possible to express the required rotation when you're not aligned with a cardinal direction.
Use the elevator or one of the walkway floors as a marker. Snap the clipboard to it and remember which side it is and which way the clipboard is facing. Copy the building. Now place a floor object at the target site, select it in the console and run "setangle z 0" to line it up precisely, then snap the clipboard to it in the correct orientation. Now you can scrap the floor and paste the building and everything should be lined up exactly like it was at the original location.
Btw, I saw that in another thread you were trying to help some people who don't want to use Conquest. Maybe this is the answer. You could share a Clipboard pattern as an optional file (with the instructions re the angle), and then people can use this build anywhere. That's basically how I use most Transfer Settlements Blueprints now; convert them to a pattern and use them where they fit best in my game. Allows me to use some amazing Blueprints that I wouldn't otherwise be able to.
I didn't know Clipboard files were supposed to be shareable (I actually used Clipboard first and only installed Transfer Settlements when I looked for a way to share the files), but the format looks reasonable. I'll have to try it with larger settlements to see how it behaves with invisible objects, AutoDoors and powered objects. Maybe it could use a tool like TSEdit to get the build order right for these tings, but that shouldn't be hard to write.
I only learned of Clipboard recently, but there’s a forum on the mod page where people share. It’s not nearly as well known as TS, so there’s no Nexus mod category yet, but I’m guessing it would start to take off if the patterns were added as optional files on TS blueprint pages.
Re invisible objects, Auto Doors, and powered objects: I’ve converted many of my old builds as well as Nexus blueprints into patterns due to the increased utility, and it works with all three. In fact it’s a giant improvement for powered objects (I actually added some things to the Cube and it’s working fine); i.e. I use lots of logic gates, and TS always messes them up. Clipboard copies them perfectly. The only issue that I’ve found is that on a very large build (over 14,000 items) Clipboard returned an alert that wires weren’t connected when restoring a pattern. I found that opening the pip boy (for 10ish seconds) at the end restoration process prevented the wiring error. And of course there’s the special care that has to be taken with rotated objects which we discovered.

You must be an architect or a designer...
Coolest player home I've seen in ages.
