I just want to report that the LOD for Elm textures here have a lot of errors here that cause glitches in some lighting condition. E.g. the light reflection on Elm LOD is wonky and causing trees to look black from faraway
1. The diffuse is 513x512 instead of 512x512. It's 1 pixel too wide. 2. The specular map of the trees were done wrong, everything is somehow same shade of green instead of black background, dark trunk and lighter shade for the leaves (You got it correct with your new update on Maple LOD specular though)
I finally finished improving my landscape textures, including these. Recently learned a technique to further improve the result from up-scaling. As you know I was working on a version with new leaves, but compared to this there is no difference/improvement to be made there, so I'm going to stick to the up-scaled version. As soon as I did the color variations, I'll update the files.
A standalone tree texture without any leaves would be really nice. The only normal tree texture on Nexus is Vivid Trees, which stands out too much and doesn't work with any foliage mods.
