hi i been using your nail gun for some time now and i just wonder if you know how im supposed to get the nail ammo for the munitions version cause i haven't gotten any from vendors or out in the wilds
You were asking for other cool gun concepts? I think the bastard rifle from Metro Last Light. The Bastard Rifle shows you EXACTLY how much ammo is in it from the ammo being loaded and packed into the left side. And it's highly customizable to output a lotta damage and be both auto and semi auto. Not all bastard rifles are the same, and that's what is such an appeal to them. An enemy's bastard rifle can be high grade in damage, but not always. It's really down to who customizes it before battle.
A well executed and visually interesting mod. I am installing, but constructive critique, any "makeshift" weapons if lore-friendly will be low level, and a nailgun in particular would not have good range or accuracy. In fact nailguns should be worse than pipe weapons, so wondering how there could be a 'sniper' version? Perhaps consider a more lore-friendly alternate version? Still love what the mod adds to the game.
No point being defensive (what I interpret with the ALL CAPS reply) I'm trying to provide a constructive opinion, that's all, I endorse the mod. As posted, I just installed, I have not found a MS Nailgun yet, but given the stats in the 2nd screenshot here it appears the base gun (with unknown improvements) when compared to other FO4 improvised vanilla weapons (i.e. the "lore" in lore friendly, right?) seems on the order of a .308 Pipe Bolt Rifle, but the nail has slightly lesser damage to a high powered rifle bullet, slightly better accuracy, and significantly better range. I suppose those points are "more realistic" but chock that up to my eye for game balance.
BrandyRFC... You do realize this gun is firing RAILROAD SPIKES, yes? It's not firing 3 inch common nails. An American made Railroad Spike (Nail) is around 5-6 inches long, and weighs half a pound. You remember the Railway Rifle from Vanilla Fallout 4? Yeah, same exact ammo, just on a smaller platform.
I feel like a lot of people make this mistake because they have no experience or knowledge about railroads outside of driving past them occasionally.
That, and I think "nailgun" gives the wrong impression to anyone that doesn't think about it beyond just the name.
But yes, this thing and the railway rifle aren't shooting little carpenters' nails. They're shooting what is, effectively, a pointed/sharpened shotgun slug made of steel.
This - and the railway rifle - aren't grandpappy's nailgun. They're more akin to a Brute Spiker from Halo. A terrifying piece of brutal weaponry.
Exactly what I wanted. Vanilla Railway Rifle design was such a let down compared to the one in Fallout 3. Now I can Railway Rifle my way across the Commonwealth while giving the Railway Spikes a use, rather than have them collect dust in my inventory.

Pleace version replace all pipe guns
Anyway, I love this mod, as I loved the nailgun in FNV. This may not be exactly the same, but man, it's fun to use.

I dont do guns with custom animations like that, that would take months of work.
No thanks.
