Wanted to comment and say this was such a cool idea and it fits so much better with how the guard act and talk, especially the scene where they all respond to the two brothers... They really take control with these uniforms on, makes the place feel as though it's ruled with an iron fist.
I have version that adds only outfits and edited weapons on other way, yesterday when tested out new playthrough that scene with two brothers guard who is gonna shoot Kyle spawn with missile launcher you can only imagine who that end :D but this is easily best outfit mod for diamond city guards, thank you.
Nice work cause srly, the vanilla guards SUCKS sooo much! DC should have way better equipped guards but as others mentioned, is it possible to make a version without the 2 weapon packs cause they mess up with skeleton aswell and it can be tricky. Thanks.
Great mod, best dc guard overhaul so far. Yet guards walking around with heavy weapons? Must be heavy. Breaks immersion for me. Is there a way to remove heavy weapons from guards?
Sorry to bother. If you have time to make a version only needs NCR outfit and the two rebirth? The mod modern weapon crashed by me and made my game really slow. Thank you.
Hello. I really like the mod. It's nice that finally the Guards are not moving targets. My only regret is that it is not compatible with the Diamond City Enhanced Security mod.
I've wanted something like this since the game launched. They have Arturo in Diamond City so for the love of logic why are they so poorly armed? Saying that, for immersion I can't use this mod but I must ask. I've tinkered in the Creation Kit and I'm wondering, is it simple enough to change what gear the guards have access too? I want my guards to be better armed and better protected but not to the degree you've done.
I was able to do it with weapons, but I couldn't figure out how to make them spawn with random armor, so I just changed their default riot gear when I learn more, I'll make different version I'm also only doing this in xEdit.
Changing their armors to be more varied is actually pretty simple, instead of changing the Outfit (DmndSecurityOutfit [OTFT:000BAD65]) to use one set of armor you create a leveled list like the raiders have. I don't have the time to go into depth on that right now, but you can take a look at how the raider level lists are set up and then do your own full lists.
"LLI_Armor_Raider_Boss_Outfit [LVLI:000DF24A]" is a good baseline to look at and figure it out from there. Obviously you'll need to make your own list and not overwrite an existing one.
Keep in mind that if you add a level to any of your own stuff you should also add the "Calculate from all levels" flag, or the list will only call the highest leveled data. Might not help much, but once you get it figured out you'll have your NPC's running around in all kinds of glorious armour.
Thanks so much, I got tired of using a ton of different mods to try and buff the security guards. Endorsed. I used endless warfare. So I like the guards to be as OP as they can.
