So, with the current 2.0 version the jetpack drains much faster, than shown in video at the description tab. Still noticeably slower than vanilla default though, allowing to fly much higher before running out of AP - feels personally at just the right balance that way, not "cheaty" or op.
Is that operating correctly like that, with the latest version now? It might be a good idea to clarify how it improves upon the vanilla settings, at the description tab, as I had first to install the mod and test with switching it on/off, to see the actual improvement.

Definitely endorsing, this is how the jetpack show have been right in the vanilla imo, without having to adhere to the weird shenanigans of abusing Jet and Nuka-Cola Quantum, to make it work like it was supposed to work as a piece of advanced technology in the first place.
    Thank you for that mod.

Glad ya like it. The description does state "The video below is no longer representative of how the mod functions in v2.0. Best results are generally achieved by sprinting before engaging the jetpack to gain a significant boost in forward momentum." Perhaps I'll make another video at some point.

I should also point out that I don't really support this mod anymore. Instead, I have a mod dedicated entirely to Power Armor, which also contain the same changes from this mod. I merely updated this one to match that one after I finished working on it.

Any chance for a version that doesn't consume any AP? Just fusion core? My AP bar is simply a stamina bar in my game, I don't use vats, (have it disabled), and as such the AP bar serves as strictly my stamina bar. With that said, it never made sense to me that my stamina bar would be consumed by a jetpack O.o...

Using the version previous to the NG updated for Fallout 4 and this isn't working either. No other mods that would modify AP consumption at all. No conflicts or anything I could find in Vortex. Only Power Armor mods I have deal with armor penetration and paint jobs. For jetpacks, I have Nano Suit and associated patches.

I moved your mod to the bottom of the load order in case of an override going on, but no difference.

    Any idea?

Are you using F4SE? Back when I initially released this mod I hadn't realized that the function to set the game settings was native to F4SE, and thus requires F4SE to function. I'll be releasing a new version soon that will not require F4SE and also should be compatible with all Power Armor jetpacks.

In the meantime, consider using the file under "Optional" and below the "No AP Cost" version as it doesn't require F4SE.

I would like to inform you that this mod does not work for Hellfire, which is being added to Nextgen update. I use F4SE in my collection. The rest of the power armor has it and can be put as a modification. I haven't checked except x1, x2 (X-02 not working too). Maybe there is some more armor here, but I haven't added any other armor mods, only vanilla, which is given by Fallout 4.

Try the version with the description:

Use this file if you are using power armors not included in the base game or DLCs.

This version does NOT require F4SE.

Damn it, I'm sorry for being blind. I'll try it now.

Hmm... why didn't I receive a response notification? I would have to check the settings again.

Hmm, now it is no longer possible to install this modification on all power armor. Do I understand correctly that this is a patch of the main mod?

UPD. Damn, I'm sorry, I realized that this changes the usual jetpack. There are no more questions, thank you for your help

Curious if anyone else is having trouble with the mod. I'm using the regular stock Power Armor version and the Poseidon Jetpack is identical to the regular Jetpack in terms of performance.

I have, I also tried installing the jetpack on a separate suit of armor. The only conflict I could see is with a power armor sound mod, but disabling that mod doesn't fix the problem.

If it still works for you it might just be bugged in my game :/

If you're using Vortex then you can create a new profile, enable only my mod, then load to the start screen (do not load a game), open the console and type "coc sanctuaryext" (without quotes). This will load up a fresh character with no conflict data. Next, open the console and type "placeatme 17fb09". This will place a T-45 armor set on your location. Finally, type "player.additem 24019d84" (keep in mind, depending on load order the number may vary, so you might have to search by typing "help "poseidon core" 4" (with quotes around "poseidon core", required to search for multi word statements) and look for the T-45 version). This will put the pack in your inventory so you can add it through the workbench.

      coc sanctuaryext
      placeatme 17fb09
      player.additem 24019d84
      help "poseidon core" 4

After all of the above is complete, you can take it over to a workbench and add the pack, then test it to see if it's still not working. If not, I recommend deleting the mod then reinstalling it, as there's no reason it shouldn't work since I just tested it myself to confirm it's still working as intended.

Fixed it! Had to do a complete uninstall and re-install on Vortex, not just directly re-install. No idea why it didn't work in the first place, but all good now, thanks!

Any idea if this is compatible with WIPAG's various "advanced" power armor suits?

For some reason my jetpack on the advanced T60 has no animation (Tpose and no flames... gets the job done but you look like a fool doing it) so I'm looking for options..

Well never mind the unwillingness to type 5 letters to the search bar, but... I managed to fix my animation issue (as expected it was CROSS jetpack royally messing up animation for actual PA jetpacks, thankfully there's a fix for that on Nexus), and.. well I can't really say if it worked 100% as it should as the description is kinda explaining nothing really, but the jetpack works like it's shown in the video (I have a feeling that with the vanilla drain I'd at best bunny hop without using another low/no AP drain mod, not blaze at full thrust for 10+ seconds) so I'm gonna assume it works and endorse. Thanks.

now back to fixing another one of Fallout's issues.. like material search sensors randomly stopping working, or light sources not emitting any light, or any other of the 3 million issues of this hellish mess of a game :)

WOW!! Thanks for sharing this!!! I have tried every jetpack mod on here and none were close to what I wanted except the one that uses no AP but fusion core instead-it just drained the fusion cores way to fast, hated that but liked the idea. It also had a bug where once your core got down to 10% or less, u could not fly no more until a fresh core was inserted. As far as the others, either way to fast lift off or just plain buggy. I really liked/love the feel of the vanilla except I always thought "if just a little longer"....U nailed it!!!!!THANKS again!!!!

Anyway u could make jetpack available for xo2 (creation club pa)-I bought it today then seen it didn't have a option for it-what a waste without it. (the pa I bought I mean- I can't use it without your JP!!)

There is no legal way for me to do so without also buying that power armor. The only thing I can suggest to you is to mod it in yourself.

Wish I knew/remembered how. Been years,  just recently reinstalled game. Probably a dumb question but, what about PA's on here? Will it work on any of nexus PA's? No sense in me DLing them if not. Thanks all the same-I love this mod no matter!!! Think I'm going to go cry now..

I was thinking on the lines of a seperate file that just made your JP the replacement for the standard JP? make sense? (I pray)-All PA's would have no choice but to have it!! Wouldn't that be great!!!? Am I crazy?

      Same issue.

The only way to make it work with all PAs is to make the change to the original jetpack as you mentioned, which I already thought about.

I've added an optional file. It's currently being scanned and all that jazz but should be available sometime soon. Keep in mind that if you use this optional file replace the main file in a game currently in progress, then the jetpacks that you have on your power armors currently will break. The modding community and Bethesda don't support changing mods in progress but if you do so anyway then remove all your jetpacks before switching the version over to the other one.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks so much!!!!!!!!Christmas has come early!!!Really appreciate this!! This mod just totally wrecked all vanilla JPs (and all other modded JPs I've tried)and made any Custom PAs  useless to me without it!!! And, I was really wanting to use/try some of them!! Also thanks for the advice on removing all JPs before install.  Other than that I'm speechless!!!!! U made my day/week/month/year/years!!!!!!

It's possible I did something wrong but really white gloved new install:
1.) Completely uninstalled/removed old file and added new
I think it semi works because there is no longer an option for just "Jet Pack" on Vanilla PAs-The new/only option is "Jet Pack-Poseidon Energy Core"
On your original file I had 2 options either "Jet Pack" or "Jet Pack-Poseidon Energy Core"
Here's the strange part, on the custom PAs there actually is the "Jet Pack" option only. (I only have 1 custom, the X02)- I'm thinking maybe something I did but what troubles me is Vanilla PAs only have the '"Jet Pack-Poseidon Energy Core" option. U tell me? Thanks for trying though--I really thought with optional file it should just say "Jet Pack" since it's a replacer mod but it says ""Jet Pack-Poseidon Energy Core" (again, only option on vanilla PA's-so I think it semi works)

If there's only the regular jetpack option then that means the constructible object responsible for assigning to a given armor slot doesn't exist for that armor type. Now, I wasn't sure without going into the file for the store power armors whether they would use custom constructible object forms specific to the mod or not, but now we know. So if you don't see the option for my modded jetpack then there's nothing more I can do other than add a custom file that outright changes the game settings themselves, which I will do since that too is just as easy. What it'll do is set any jetpack regardless of mod to use the file's settings whereas my mod applies the settings via script when you hop in the power armor so that it only applies to the upgraded version and not the default jetpack.

As a result, I'll remove the old optional file as the new upload will make that one obsolete.

I took a break from the game and went and did a rdr2 PT and come back to see this!!!!!!!!!1Made my day!!!!!I didn't think u would try again but u did!!!!!! THANKS AGAIN!!! This is a game changer for me-I could not play this game without this mod!!!!How it's not the TOP mod on Nexus I couldn't tell you.
Anyway, after reinstalling, it just says 'Jet Pack" only now-on all PA's and it/they all have your magic touch!!!!!Really, really, really appreciate this!!!!! I'm off to go fly around--U R the man!!
