Really useful mod for me, since there is just no better weapon for me than a db, but after installing so many gun mods seeing how luckluster it is with its modifications seemed dull to me, so thanks!!
Just tried it. Seems to work great! I'll be downloading the rest of your weapon mods now. I, for one, really appreciate these. I have no desire to go through and mod every weapon myself in CK or Edit; in fact, I very much prefer to try out other folk's settings and trying the game through new eyes. Keeps things interesting and avoids the trapping of wanting to cheat-mode everything. Anyway; nice job with these. I dig it.
glad to hear! However I would recommend waiting for the update file for the handmade magazine pack that removes a magazine that's featured in the modification pack
Why are you bothering with this? You keep dumping all these mods, but they are all just the sort of thing people do when fiddling with xEdit for the first time, I'm genuinely confused as to what your goal here is. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just worried you are wasting your time without realizing it.
Well I started to fill in some blanks with making mod lists based on other fallout games, then I decided to post them and then made my holorifle receiver mod for fun. From there I ended up making the revolver pack and then I wanted to make simple attachment packs that you could put in a game and it still feel vanilla. This is also a way for me to learn how to use creation kit and sort of log how much I've learned
You do you, although I'm confused as to why anyone still includes any vanilla guns in their leveled lists. Fixing them seems like more effort than just replacing them, like instead of using your holorifle receiver mod, just use the holorifle mod.
My goal isn't to be more downloaded than other mods, my goal here is just to enjoy myself and over time learn more things in the creation kit. I know for a fact my holorifle mod isn't at all better than the china lake and holorifle mod, because that's not my goal here
yeah, popularity contests aren't important, I just was worried you were unaware that stuff like the holorifle existed. Since my approach instead of making a holorifle out of a shotgun would have been to just edit the holorifle mod to my tastes, but your approach probably taught you more, so I'm certainly not criticizing that. It looks like you're getting a pretty good feel for the ck stuff and I'm excited to see what you'll make once you get your legs under you. If you are exclusively using the creation kit though I'd suggest you pick up fo4edit and zedit, they may seem more limited than the ck, but they are very useful tools and once you get good at using them you will find that some things are much easier to do through them.
edit: I reread my original post, and I feel like I phrased things in a way that probably came across wrong, so I want to clarify that when I asked why you were bothering, I was seriously asking, not saying you shouldn't, I always ask if I should bother before embarking on something that takes a lot of work, and you're clearly putting in a lot of work. I also always check to make sure someone else hasn't already done the work before. You're putting in the work to learn stuff though, and that's a different goal, you can't just copy someone elses learning after all (at least not yet). Also I use the word dumping to just mean uploading a bunch of something, I am not saying anything about the quality of those files.
if you're doing this for practice, maybe try doing it multiple times and uploading the various merged plugins, doing that without breaking everything dependent on the old versions is a really useful skill.
I don't really want to change the stats of the base weapon. Unless you mean in the form of new modifications in future updates, in that case that's the plan
