I noticed that, when crafting the receiver, it says Gunslinger 2 (the pistol Perk) instead of Gun Nut 2. I am running a large modlist so maybe it's just me, I was curious if anyone else had this issue.
so there is a modders resource for flintlock and blunderbuss models here in nexus. would you be willing to try making a proper black powder weapons mod? and if you don't know how to make animations you can use the broad sider anims as a temporary placeholder, there are numerous modders who make anims here perhaps they too could lend a hand? since the release of fo4 no one has ever done a proper blackpowder guns which suprising given the minutemen theme. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20211/ here is the resources.
I've been thinking of it and I might try, however the broadsider animations wouldn't work due to the nature of it being a heavy weapon, we'll just have to see how much my skills change over time
you could use the 44 animations for a placeholder (like the only other flint lock mod does) until you can figure out custom animations perhaps you could even work with another Modder like fiddlergreen on the animations
I was always kind of disappointed that a proper flintlock wasn't part of Fo4 considering it's location and all the revolutionary war history they keep shoving in your face.
Yeah, it's such a missed opportunity, they even ended up putting it in Fallout 76, showing they very well could've added black powder weapons into Fallout 4, but now we just have a laser musket that's kinda meh

Thankfully, there is a mod that removes the need for the cells, you just have to get cranking, makes it more viable, imo, as an early game weapon.
