I was annoyed by the complete lack of gauss shotgun mods for Fallout 4 (From what I've found so far that is). So I decided to open up Creation Kit and make the simplest thing I could. A new receiver that converts the combat shotgun into a gauss shotgun. I did this because I wanted to make a mod list adding all weapons from Fallout 76, I found a gauss pistol mod and a mod that adds a gauss receiver to the minigun, but nothing for the gauss shotgun, which is my favorite out of the 3 in 76.
Anyways, onto the mod itself. The damage may be really high and seem unbalanced (And it may be, give me some feedback bois) I did this to compensate for the fact that the attack charge doesn't have an animation for anything other than the gauss rifle, I don't know how to do stuff like that just yet. So the rate of fire is really slow, and the damage is really high, I hope it works well!
To craft the receiver itself you need Gun Nut 4 and Science! 4. When it comes to components you'll need:
-8 Adhesive
-12 Aluminum
-8 Circutry
-8 Gears
-5 Gold
-5 Nuclear Material
-10 Screws
