    Patch 2.0.3:

    - Fixed Vault-Tec Workshop Patch file issues, causing crashes.

    Patch 2.0.2:

    - Reference Alias changes made to unnamed settlers will now be re-applied upon loading a save.

    Patch 2.0.1:

    - Fixed issue where originally unnamed settlers were not being re-named at all.
    - Other minor tweaks

    Version 2.0: (Incompatibility Extermination)

    - Removed all characters base form edits.
    - Removed Nuka World patch. (For those who have it running on the current playthrough, it's not mandatory to remove the patch)
    - Unnamed settlers are now being properly re-named using Reference Alias.
    - Attached a script to properly change Commandable, AllowCaravan and AllowMove variables from characters that are either missing these or disabled by default, and therefore making the characters proper settlers.
    - All Covenant habitants can now be commanded and can run supply lines, but cannot be moved, also re-named the two originally unnamed settlers. (check the spreadsheet for details)
    - All Bunker Hill habitants can now be commanded and can run supply lines, but cannot be moved.
    - All Vault-88 habitants can now be commanded and can run supply lines, but cannot be moved.
    - Added Deb and Old Man Stockton from Bunker Hill to the leaders list.- Fixed Matthew Tenpines and John Somerville incompatibility issues with UOF4P.
    - Fixed John Hancock being unable to be a leader and also fixed his prefix missing in the leader selection menu.

    Important Notes:
    - This new version will tackle all compatibility issues with other mods, except for Automatron DLC patch which will remain as is.
    - The main file of mod plus the DLCs patches files are .esp flaggled ESL.
    - This version is best played on new saves, however is not mandatory.

First off wanted to say great mod and thank you for your work 👍

I came here as well for the issue of no leaders in the city planning desk menu and tried all the options mentioned here and on the wiki.

That being said, it seems the vanilla method of assigning works perfectly fine (selecting settler in workshop mode and then assigning them to the desk.)

Just wanted to share this for anyone else to try if they're having issues getting leaders to populate via the SS2 inventory method.

I am sorry to hear you can't manage to fix the leaders cache for you, best advice I can give you is to keep trying the wiki steps, I'm sure eventually it'll come up.

While you are right, you can indeed assign any valid NPC to the city desk using the vanilla method, its worth mentioning that by doing so, NPCs assigned by this method will not have any Leader Card assigned to them at all, this means the NPC will in fact lead the settlement but without any special perks or weaknesses.

Is this mod safe of installing in the middle of a game or do I have to start a new game so it could work properly?

I'm assuming you have already tried, but I am about lvl 50 and about to install it myself. I will find out, and report back.
At the very least, the game started, and I was able to poke around for a few minutes with no problems. I will keep going and see what happens.

Time to necro ask if you noticed any issues after further playing?

      Sorry for the late response.

Its really fine to install this Leader Pack or any SS2 Leader Packs mid game (as long Leader Packs do not add or alter quests, characters or locations from the vanilla game that you may already have or triggered throughout your game). For this one specifically, even though it does alter some things to characters, all its done through scripts to avoid any compatibility issues, so its safe to add mid game.

I've reset the leader list and still have a limited number of leaders from NBL2, maybe 20 or so.

Sorry for the late response, what you're experiencing is a known issue from SS2, I have talked about this various times in this mod's discussion.

For more info and troubleshooting about this issue look at 'Assigning City Leaders' topic in SS2's Official wiki Settlements & Cities | Sim Settlements 2 Wiki

Assigned Ronnie Shaw to be mayor of the castle, and now she only does the default settler "trade equipment" when I talk to her, is there any way to access her merchant inventory again?

      Sorry for the late response.

Assigning Level 4 Merchants as leaders will not mess with the characters inventory, or merchant mechanics.
Regarding Ronnie Shaw specifically, there's a known bug about your issue in Ronnie Shaw | Fallout Wiki | Fandom

Quoting: 'The player character may be unable to assign or trade with Ronnie after completing Old Guns, talking to her only opening her inventory (like generic settlers). This bug may happen if the Radio Freedom bug occurred.'

It never worked for me until today after I came back after months away and downloaded the all in one pack for the 3 chapters abd I didn't even do the reset thing. I wonder if it's related to storyline progression

Are you still working on this mod? It's not a big deal to me and I know authors get spammed a lot on this site. I'm just curious if this is gonna be another life got in the way of the hobby kind of scenario.

It's really ok for you to ask that, I've been anything but active for the last couple of months, but unfortunately I've had other more important projects that had me occupied for a while and I really haven't had the will and the time to return to these mods, because after all, yes, its just an hobby that I like to return once in a while, but Sim Settlements development is far from dead, and I intend to stick with this and future projects regarding SS2 as long as possible, so yes I will be around.

Believe it or not I had a big update I was suppose to release a few months ago but unfortunately one time I had to format my PC and that update happened to be one of the few things I forgot to backup. I was so pissed because I had all of Sim Settlements 2 characters added to the mod along with a lot of other changes to how the mod works, so I have to work on that from scratch.

Anyway, I'm slowly returning to Fallout 4, so expect new updates coming soon.

Seems like a very interesting mod, however, is it safe to use with newest versions of SS2 and all chapters? I've looked at the spreadsheet and some of those are already available as leaders, namely Codsworth. Will this mod conflict with that?

I'm currently on vacation, I don't yet know how the mod performs with C3. I will play C3 this next week and test NBL with it.

I don't know if there's been a chance to check in on the mod since chapter 3 dropped but I would be interested in any updates/news!
I used to use this and am getting back into SS2 with a new playthrough, loved it in the past.

Right now, I couldn't get other leaders to show up, but I am not all the way through the SS2 tutorial quests just yet, only to unlocking expanded plot types.

Thanks for making this mod! Love having more leaders to pick from.

I am not done with NBL2 , in fact I have future plans for it , also I have an upcoming update very soon , so I'll be here for a while.
      - As far as Chapter 3 goes, NBL2 functions just the same , even though SS2 Dev Team had plans for a leaders system overhaul , unfortunately didn't come through with C3 , however, and though I'm not certain of this , I do expect them to make changes to the leaders system very soon in these smaller updates Kingath has been mentioning in his videos.
      - That said, also yes, the issue that annoys the most the current leader system is the Leaders Cards cache, that keeps bugging and requires us to reset it every time, that still persists in C3.

Even though the Leaders may not list as they should for you, keep trying to reset the leader cache, and give it a few minutes before you try again, it'll eventually come up.
