    Patch 2.0.3:

    - Fixed Vault-Tec Workshop Patch file issues, causing crashes.

    Patch 2.0.2:

    - Reference Alias changes made to unnamed settlers will now be re-applied upon loading a save.

    Patch 2.0.1:

    - Fixed issue where originally unnamed settlers were not being re-named at all.
    - Other minor tweaks

    Version 2.0: (Incompatibility Extermination)

    - Removed all characters base form edits.
    - Removed Nuka World patch. (For those who have it running on the current playthrough, it's not mandatory to remove the patch)
    - Unnamed settlers are now being properly re-named using Reference Alias.
    - Attached a script to properly change Commandable, AllowCaravan and AllowMove variables from characters that are either missing these or disabled by default, and therefore making the characters proper settlers.
    - All Covenant habitants can now be commanded and can run supply lines, but cannot be moved, also re-named the two originally unnamed settlers. (check the spreadsheet for details)
    - All Bunker Hill habitants can now be commanded and can run supply lines, but cannot be moved.
    - All Vault-88 habitants can now be commanded and can run supply lines, but cannot be moved.
    - Added Deb and Old Man Stockton from Bunker Hill to the leaders list.- Fixed Matthew Tenpines and John Somerville incompatibility issues with UOF4P.
    - Fixed John Hancock being unable to be a leader and also fixed his prefix missing in the leader selection menu.

    Important Notes:
    - This new version will tackle all compatibility issues with other mods, except for Automatron DLC patch which will remain as is.
    - The main file of mod plus the DLCs patches files are .esp flaggled ESL.
    - This version is best played on new saves, however is not mandatory.

No you cannot, as this mod depends on Sim Settlements 2 .esp to work.

Okay, thank you for the response. Would you know if any mods that do something similar to what I described?

I wish, but this gives them randomly generated names instead of in place names

Hi only a handful of leaders show up and even the companions are not on the list. Is there a way to reset the list?

I rebuild the leaders list a couple of times already but sadly the leaders from this mod are not showing up in it :/

Edit: They started showing up, except for some like Isabel Cruz.

So the Finches maybe got a little dead and I resurrected them and even managed (a bit clumsily) to add them back to the settlement, but they're still not showing up in the leader selection list anymore, any way to fix this that anyone knows of?

It is not something to be worried about that they are just called Settlers by the city plan bench, right? Like settler is mayor, or do you want to assign settler as mayor. They still apply their bonuses, right?

Do you mean when you assign a regular Settler NPC as a leader?
If so, then yes, they will be called just settler, with no traits or weaknesses applied.

If you want Named NPCs, with traits applied, then you should use the designated option in the CityDesk to assign a city leader to a settlement, and choose from the leader list available to you.

No, like say I assign one of the tenpines, they are named in the leader pool, but once I assign them to the bench they are just called on it Settler, not their name.

Also if u do the command, cqf ss2_optionsmanager DebugAvailableLeaderCards, they are referred to as Settler too.

I was wondering if this is fine?

This might be because this mod changes the NPC names through an alias, not the actual NPC base FormID, an since their base name is Settler it shows as Settler.
But no, you shouldn't worry about it, they should work just fine.

Is this mod still usable after the next gen update? Nevermind, just tested it and it works on the latest version of the game. When I open the city planner desk, the only leader options I get are vanilla NPCs. I can't choose one of the unique settlers from SS2 as leaders (I wanted to make Amara Blackmoon and Maggie Green mayors). Do I need to do something else to add SS2 settlers to the list or is that going to be added in a future update?

In any case, super helpful mod, thank you!

For more info and troubleshooting about this issue look at 'Assigning City Leaders' topic in SS2's Official wiki Settlements & Cities | Sim Settlements 2 Wiki

Regarding Amara and Maggie, although their are not supported by NBL2 yet, you can simply assign any NPC from a your settlement directly to your CityDesk, this will make the NPC the leader of the settlement, however with no traits or weaknesses attached.

How? I don't see that as an option.

Just open the workshop menu like you would, approach and look at the NPC you want to be the leader, press E (for PC, dont know about consoles) to command the NPC, approach the City Desk and assign the NPC to the Desk, just like would assign an NPC to a plot, or food, etc.

I've finished restoring order for automatron dlc and this mod was active before that, but Isabel Cruz wasn't added to the Mechanist Lair population, and doesn't appear as an available mayor (I've rebuilt the leaders list).

I've tried setpv bAllowMove True and Addkeyword workshopallowmove commands, but surprisingly they also didn't work, even though I've used them before on some unmovable settlers in Crossing/Tenpines - I can make her count as a settler, but she just goes through her animations/sleeping/using console, and doesn't get any mayoral buffs (they aren't shown on the desk).

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried a combination of LarranKiar mod and this, but that also didn't help.

I'm sorry NBL2 didn't work for you with the Automatron patch, I am aware that in some saves for some reason she doesn't get added to the settlement after you spare her life, like she should with the script I provided.
In a future update I will be making changes to the script to work with WorkshopFramework which is more reliable than the original WorkshopParentScript.

Unfortunately the only solution you have, and as you tried is to use console commands, however I believe you missed one or two things, try once again adding her with the following commands:

(I recommend using a bat file)
      Addtofaction 1c21c 1
      Addkeyword workshopallowcommand
      Addkeyword workshopallowmove
      addkeyword workshopallowcaravan
      setpv bcommandable 1
      setpv ballowmove 1
      setpv ballowcaravan 1

For NBL2 its important that she is commandable, so for one you should also set the commandable keyword.
Once you run the bat file try move her out and back in the mechanist lair as this will force the scripts to assign her to the settlement.

      I hope this helps.

Noob question that I can't seem to find the answer for.
Once I find a Leader in the wild, for instance, Logan Nordhager who I just found, how do I get them to go to my settlement without walking there?
I don't have dialogue options that come up when I try to talk to him.
He asked me to get him out of where I rescued him from, but nothing happened once we left the area.

Nordhagen Beach can be obtained by completing one its radiant quest. However at times radiant quests break in certain circumstances leaving the player stuck without access to the settlements.

      You have 2 possible solutions:
      - For one, you can try use console commands to trigger the final stage of the radiant quest you are stuck in, in other to force the game to finish it and allowing you to take over the settlement.
      - Or, if you have WorkshopFramework installed (and if you dont have, you really should by now), go to the workbench from the settlement you want to take over, press the Manage Settlement option and force the access from there.

It took me a while, but he eventually made his way to Nordhagen Beach, at a snail's pace, and I could finally properly interact with him.

First off wanted to say great mod and thank you for your work 👍

I came here as well for the issue of no leaders in the city planning desk menu and tried all the options mentioned here and on the wiki.

That being said, it seems the vanilla method of assigning works perfectly fine (selecting settler in workshop mode and then assigning them to the desk.)

Just wanted to share this for anyone else to try if they're having issues getting leaders to populate via the SS2 inventory method.

I am sorry to hear you can't manage to fix the leaders cache for you, best advice I can give you is to keep trying the wiki steps, I'm sure eventually it'll come up.

While you are right, you can indeed assign any valid NPC to the city desk using the vanilla method, its worth mentioning that by doing so, NPCs assigned by this method will not have any Leader Card assigned to them at all, this means the NPC will in fact lead the settlement but without any special perks or weaknesses.
