EDIT : Okay i found the problem for me ! So if you have NAC X go to your inventory - armor/cloth page - click on NAC X Settings menu - NAC SETTING - NAC OPTIONS - Then click Disable Complex HitFX.
Done ! Now you can activate this mod here and Voilà ! No more radial blur when hit ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello fellow nexus users !
So, i'm too can't get this to work but i think i found the source of the problem. In my case NAC X seems to have his own blur option when you get hit : NAC_GetHit
But i've tried to put the same values as this mod, and unfortunatly it's not working. Even if i leave this mod and put before or after NAC in load order that's doesn't work. But it's a good start i think.
Another thing that may cause a proble are all the new parameters that Nac adds, like those :
This "Blur Radius (aligned)" and several others parameters after are tweaked for NAC and i don't dare to touch them, for avoiding breaking it. But yeah, in the end that's probably something like NAC X that break the radial blur removals mods.
I will also look into NAC X options ingame to see if i find something.
It would be cool if, instead of always on or always off, the effect happened dynamically depending on how much damage you took - if I'm playing a squishy gunslinger and I get hit in the shoulder with a .50 cal, the effect makes sense.
But if I'm playing a 10 endurance melee monster in full power armor, and someone throws a pebble at me, causing me to lose 1 health out of 1100? It absolutely makes no sense at all.
I know about as much about coding as a cockroach knows about nuclear physics, and the author of this mod seems to be inactive. But one can dream I guess
Thanks for this, radial blur on hit and motion blur need to die in a fire. Along with chromatic aberration I see popping up in every other reshade, but I digress.
Don't say things like that, "die in a fire". It needs to SUFFER like I have with all this gimmicky game functions like, HDR/Bloom and motion and B(r)okeh depth of field. One should not need to edit .ini files to disable it. And the lack of a brightness and contrast slider tops it all of, nice work Bethesda Softworks.
I'd say ALL kind of blur (i.e. including the one you get when in low health, not sure what his name is) should die. The blur adds nice touches to video games but in this game it was overly abused making it the most disgusting and dumb feature in the whole game. Adding no setting to disable it is even dumber than programming it...
I bet the peoples who programmed it and the ones who programmed the best perks / equipment (yeah, those that require low health) in the game didn't work together... just to see how annoying is to get blurred vision every two seconds...
Unless I'm missing something, there is no mod around to completely disable all the blur (on hit, on eyes damaged, on low health, the Night Person level 2+ perk) ?
@Spartan7111: would you be so kind to add a version that disables all the blur or take a moment to explain how that would be achievable ? I'd personally go ANY route (FO4Edit, .ini modification, etc.) to get rid of all the blur in the game. Good riddance, I won't miss it...
Does this also removes screen blur when your eyes are damaged? I mean in situation where NPC damaged your eyes and message pops up - "You eyes was damaged" and you need to take a stimpak for your sight to recover...
I have been using this mod for sometime now and I so satisfied with it, but may I ask if you are going to make a no blur mod for explosion that reduces or alternatively removes (I would prefer that).
Thanks Spartan7111 for this simple mod it have improves my gaming experience.
Yes, great mod, thanks Spartan7111! I was wondering if it's possible to remove the blur from the pause menu? It's not gameplay related, which is what your mod focuses on, but I would enjoy being rid of that blur. The blur during crafting would be nice to have gone as well.
