i'm tempted to make a mod like this but make the audio unbearably loud just to make sure that nobody's snarky enough to post a youtube link to the audio source instead of the mod in game
Not only would that likely have the opposite effect, mod authors aren't beholden to anyone, beyond ensuring that the mod is complete. Complaining that they're not advertising their mod is both unhelpful, and not your concern. If a mod author does not or cannot, or doesn't feel like putting in the effort, that's too bad. Were you wanting to know what this sounds like, Google would have sufficed.
