Can't for the life of me figure this out...I have a conversion kit and a firmware loader holotape in my inventory. I open any given terminal, and load the holotape. They all say they "do not work on pip-boy" displays, and offer no options to select a kit or anything else.
Not seeing this elsewhere so it's clearly user error on my part, what am I missing?
Why did you add the "Broken in NG Update" tag? I am on the latest update and it works perfectly fine for me. :3 I actually just came in to tag it as working with NG Update, myself. X3
No problem! Always nice to have a reminder. Many thanks for your various mods! Been using a couple of them for a couple of years now and you've always had quality stuff. So thanks for what you do, Niston!
I can get everything but the color and the holotape to work. the HD color produces mono-white and the holotape says "vault-tec pip-boy not compatable. press [tab] to exit." Not sure whats happening.
EDIT: Nevermind. I installed the mods from the bottom of your page and it started working. Still can't get the holotape to work though.
Sorry for the probably obvious question, but is there no way to apply HD color to vanilla terminals universally? I'd have to put the constructed holotape into every terminal I come across in the Commonwealth, right? Thanks for the info and the mod!
A mono screen can't display a colored item preview. It's just not immersive. xD Reminds me, maybe these days it would be possible to change the shader for the preview instead.
I was wondering how i could lower the brightness or emittance of the screen. Your mod in combination with an ENB makes it a bit to bright. It seems its not responding to the regular ini tweaks like:
The regular FX don't apply in HD modes, so changing them will have no effect for those modes. I'm afraid it's not currently possible to adjust the HD brightness :)
Ah yeah i see. I found out that the brightness 'Glitch' is being caused by the ENB's Subsurfacescattering effect. Why Bethesda gave the pipboyscreen this property, lord knows..

sqv NISTRON_HDColorSystem_DriverQuest
and check if the quest is running.If it isn't for whatever reason, type
startquest NISTRON_HDColorSystem_DriverQuest
Also if you're in Power Armor, exit it before opening the terminal.
- Open Terminal
- Load the RobCo holotape
- Wait for pop-up
- Error message about pip-boy display
Can you post papyrus logs of you opening a terminal and then loading the holotape?

Thanks for pointing it out.
Why am I required to give up a valuable slot like recon sensors to make this work?
I am ok with not having immersion to fix a graphics issue.

If you want color, you need something like the mods linked in description.
You could probably use something like Robco Patcher to give all terminals the necessary keywords.
Vanilla
HD Mono Blue

There is a problem with all Mono versions though, some black layer blocks the majority of item preview.

No idea what it was for 😆

It seems its not responding to the regular ini tweaks like:
fPipboyScreenEmitIntensity=1.25
fPipboyScreenDiffuseIntensity=0.150
I'm afraid it's not currently possible to adjust the HD brightness :)
Well, thanks for your time!
