The original mod is already pretty damn solid, even with Unleveled World and Encounter Zone Recalculation. But no matter what, the game cuts your damage by 50% on Very Hard and Survival i.e optional damage modifers is mandatory unless you like to be outgunned by a Mutant with a vanilla minigun.
You could for example change it to add more weight too. The important part that has to be changed would be in the object modification entry where instead of the Property of [AttackDamage] you could change to Ammo capacity or Weight.
To further elaborate with an example like the M2 shotgun which has tons of attachments and one of those to increase your magazine capacity from 6 to 8, that was also done by creating an entry that sets ammo capacity to an amount. https://imgur.com/fd9RtX1
Just remember to create the other entries outlined in the guide for it to show up.
