If there is something I can't answer with this mod and/or SS2, SS2Ch2 please go toSim Settlements Forum. They can help you much better than I can. Even though I built it I don't always know why it doesn't work.
June 21, 2022. I'm done modding. At this time, I'm not sure if I will return.
Hi, im having trouble with one of this city plans things, im stuck with the one by default icant use any other city plan, i have materials asams, etc. neeeded for constrution BUT i can only pick the one that comes by default, and cant choose (like doesnt appear in the prompt window) the new one i downloaded.
Never mind I found what I was looking for. Just one thing. If I remember right during one of Kinggath's earliest "Let's Play Wednesday" he mentioned that the basic relaxation plot with the fountain causes disease! Go figure. I have seen in the Settlements section a under the spoilers you said you add 7 recreation plots to Outpost Z and I assume they are the S.P.E.C.I.A.L plots. If you have used the basic relaxation plot in any of your plans I would suggest you replace it with a different basic relaxation plot until players can unlock the Nightingales. If I remember right there are several in the three add-on packs that are needed for our City Plan Pack.
Yes, I try to put in as many recreation plots as I can. Strength, agility, etc. And relaxation plots too.
I appreciate your suggestion. But I can't go back and change all that stuff. Plus, the way I must pack everything up is just too much. You really should be writing KG to fix it. If he would take the time to fix it, then it would be fixed for everyone. Wouldn't that be better?
But. If you feel something should be changed instead of waiting for KG. Then YOU should change it.
Also, for a great deal of these settlements (in the beginning) I only used [ss2] and [ss2ch2] buildings to make sure advanced building requirements were met. I wasn't using packs yet. The fountain plot was the only one available.
If you would like to see a timeline of when packs were added. Goto the bottom on the description tab. Look in "Settlement info" spoiler. You'll see Greentop was the first pack use and that was only for Powel and Franklen buildings. Then I used some building at Spectacle Island from same pack. Then go clear down to Covenant. Thats when the other two packs came in.
But now it's much less confusing to tell everyone they must use all three packs. Then to say, okay this settlement uses no packs, this settlement uses one pack, etc.
This issue was solved in version 2.0.2 of SS2 and as such, WaningGibbous doesn't have to change anything.
Here's the patch note:
Water Radiation will now be cleared from settlers upon arriving at a settlement, it is also cleared when an NPC is scanned with the Vit-o-Matic. Water Radiation is meant to auto clear when an NPC leaves the water, but if an NPC was in water when the area unloaded, they can become permanently infected. This is a base game problem that was more pronounced with SS2 installed, since many plot buildings have radiated water on them.
Hello again. A little background info first. When I started up Vortex it said there was an update for it and I closed the window, but (this I hate) it updated on it's own . Now to my question. When I did a check for updates to the mods I have installed it is listing ALL of the mods I have installed that you have here under the OLD FILES section which have no updates. I will ignore them as usual as it is the same thing that happened awhile ago. Will the new WG City Plans Pack overwrite the city plans I have or is it an entirely separate mod and will it cause a problem with my current playthrough if I install it? And yes I know I am a pain in the butt with all of these basic questions.
Will the new WG City Plans Pack overwrite the city plans I have? Yes, if you install a plan in a settlement, you already have a plan installed in the game. Otherwise just installing either pack does nothing. Choose one pack to install not both.
Or is it an entirely separate mod? Yes, it's a separate mod but with the same settlements (except the updated plans. see description for updated plans) packed into one mod.
Will it cause a problem with my current playthrough if I install it? It's no different than the individual mods.
And yes I know I am a pain in the butt with all of these basic questions. You are doing a good thing here. Years ago when I first started with Bethesda games I was afraid to ask questions. I would wait hoping someone would come along and ask. These questions benefit others too. I thank you for that.
Thank you! You are to kind, the only reason I am asking is if you go to the SS2 forums and look for my last posted question there (I am RichardG there) I posted a screen shot of what is in my MISC tab of my Pip-Boy inventory and no one there has any idea how or why this is happening to me. On person suggested it might be a Loot mod which I do have installed. "i.e. Loot Detector and it's associated mod," but I have asked 3 YouTubers I follow who use those mods and they do not have this issue so I am very afraid now when there is any update as in the past when I have done a update to a mod be it in Skyrim 5 or Fallout 4 my save file goes to hell in a handbasket and I have to start a whole new play through with a total fresh and clean install of the game in question.
Hey! You know I may be wrong. It's been years. But I seem to remember being able to turn off updates on certain mods. So it doesn't do what been happening to you. Those false updates.
Just because some people are able to use a mod successfully doesn't mean others can. That fascinates me. I would think either everyone can use a mod or no one.
It does sound like you have a conflict. GuardianMF has a page in the forums to help you figure it out Go there and post your problem. Installing Buffout is complicated, and they help you with that. After that it's smooth sailing. After that is sorted out Buffout generates a report. You post that, they decipher it. Then tell you what the conflicts are. Empower yourself. Take control of your game. Learn Buffout. You are the best person to figure out what's wrong with your game. (With their help)
Just because one question went unanswered doesn't mean the next question will be.
Anyone else having issues with Nordhagen Beach connecting to other settlements? Caravan Services keeps telling me that no services are in range, but County Crossing is nearby and should be able to connect...
Sorry you are having a problem. I have heard of this happening. But I have no idea how to fix this. Please go over to the forum and search or ask your question there. There is a lot more traffic there. In other words you will get help a lot faster.
I haven't tried either of those yet. I looked around on the SS2 forums, it seems that there might be some problem with chapter 2 and Boston AP/Nordhagen.
There was already a post about it, so I added a comment. Chapter 2 introduced a TON of bugs it seems, although kinggath has been slowing picking away at them.
Just FYI, I tried a different city plan for Nordhagen Beach, and it has the same issue with the caravan post not connecting, so it's not your plan somehow being buggy. Hopefully we'll get a fix soon.
Thats bad news. But I'm glad you investigated this. Sorry but I'm asking a few questions. If you don't have time to answer that's okay. Did they mention the possibility of a mod conflict? Or are they sure it's not? Did you build the four settlements closest to HQ? Are they working as intended?
I updated to the new pack, specifically the .esl version. I'm not sure that the old plans are still "loaded" into each settlement, as when I go to the City Details it displays a different settlement city plan (one of my other plans for Sanctuary, to be exact). I also cannot get these plans to show up when I go to "replace city plan".
EDIT: Turns out saving and then loading the save after installing the new pack works. The plans now show up normally.
Got all of the error messages about missing mods corrected and today when I did my daily check for updates to mods Vortex once again listed The Castle, gray gardens, somerville place, sunshine tiding and sunshine tiding single as needing update. I will ignore them, but you might want to talk to someone on the Vortex Discord and figure out why they keep popping up as needing update when they do not have any updates. I'm sure this problem does not happen with MO2, but for some reason my PC and MO2 work fine for Skyrim but it does not like Fallout 4 so I have to use Vortex.
No problem. I did download the Sunshine Update the other are in my load order and will remain until my next new game as I know from experience it is never a good idea to remove a mod mid game.
Wonderful to have an alternative to the woefully unstable ROTC plans - still not sure the decision to port those was the right one - but, then again, I almost never USE them after they've given me so much trouble in the past
Thank you so much. I recommend not downloading too many of these. I'm working on packing all these into one addon pack download. There is a beta test pack in the files tab right now. The four closest settlements to HQ
I have a few more settlements to build. Then I'll start on a pack. I'm not able to make a pack of 25 and then add a few more. If I want to add more, I must start over.
I did my daily check for updates and have 5 of your city plans listed. I went to download the castle first and Vortex says it is already installed and when I check the date on the download it is not dated today. Also the update for Sunshine downloaded do I uninstall the old one. I have 2 city plans for Sunshine one is the "City Plans For SS2 - WG Sunshine Tidings single" and one just says "City Plans For SS2 - sunshine tiding which one is the update for? The five are: City Plans For SS2 - castle City Plans For SS2 - gray gardens City Plans For SS2 - somerville place and the two for sunshine tiding and they all say I have to PICK the file to update. So do I uninstall the one I have install now and hope that the one I download is the right one.
There are eight new uploads and the update to sunshine. (WG sunshine update) The sunshine update does not update old plans. Its a replacement. Be sure to install the new addon packs listed at the top here or in description. (same ones) The best way to see the newest updates are: sort by: upload date - descending or look for v1.3. (Or newest version) As far as what's in vortex I would leave the old sunshine(s) and select the new one you installed. At the planners desk when you select a settlement to install it will ask you to delete old one. Yes, you want to always replace current settlement. IMO I'm not a fan of vortex. Castle, Summerville, and gray garden was a long time ago, v1.1 with no updates since.
Thats one of the reasons I don't like vortex. It was constantly telling me I had updates. I would go and check them manually. And it simply wasn't true.
Sorry to keep bugging you but I got the following when I login to Fallout4 and took screen shot of it and current Vortex. Is this going to mess with my current save or will I be okay? I am to far gone in chapter 2 to have to start all over again and if I do I will not be installing SS2 period. I will build my settlements the old fashion way if I have to or just say F It and go back to Skyrim or ME. I checked the plugin tab in vortex and they are all there and enabled.
First off you are NOT bugging me. All this can get very confusing very quickly. I wish I knew more. A lot more. You have asked me some pretty simple questions that I should know. But don't. I apologize for that.
Go to the files tab and go clear to the bottom. Those five files appear to be the same as the ones in your picture showing no longer available. Did you disable them and/or delete them?
I'm not sure if it will harm the game. You'll know it did if the game becomes unplayable down the road.
I understand your frustration. You may be better off waiting until Ch 2 is completely fixed, and this mod is a single download. (Sometime in the future for both)
It will probably tell you the same thing if they are installed and disabled. (Because they were in the game and not now) If you enable them I'm not sure if that will be a problem or not. If they are enabled in vortex but you have deleted or installed new settlements in the game I think that will be okay. Lets hope anyway. This is a Fallout thing you know. Not with SS. We should be able to add and remove what we want IMO without F'ing things up.
Here are the links for Sunshine Tiding co-op https://www.dropbox.com/s/w9b73biupvkpvmz/1.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/9d9ld2t2xnus6uy/2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/w0zx18ffktgc391/3.png?dl=0
You're welcome. I know there is a option on the city planning desk to block certain items from city plans faction stuff. Does that also apply to plots as well. I ran into not a problem , but an agricultural plot from some addon pack I need that put down a 5 or six plot long advanced farming plot. Can I use that desk feature to block certain plots?
I don't want to tell you wrong. I've never used that. When I get something I don't want I delete it and put down what I want. Is this happening on these settlements? If it is, that shouldn't happen. Do you have designers choice on? See in the description to find where the path to that is. If designers choice is on I have no idea what's wrong.
This just dropped today! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48042 Will this effect your city plans? At the bottom of the Description page is the ***Warning Plugin Missing Fix which needs if I am reading it right to prevent it, we need "Clean My Settlement" which I always use along with Whisper's "Raze My Settlement" and "Pra's random addons." There is no other version of Pra's Random Addons on Nexus. Do you need to update your city plans to use the newer version?
I know people are very busy with RL, but a timely response would be of great help as ROTC's City Plans screwed up my game and it was so bad I deleted all of Fallout 4 per GamerPoets Clean Install video and did the same thing to Vortex just incase and reinstall both and I am starting over from square one. I have all my other mods installed and ready to go. I just need to know which version of Pra's mod to use.
Thank you. Your mods a God send for people like me who 6 years ago built a NASA PC, but age and lack of funds means I can not upgrade to a new PC for awhile.
Hey, I haven't been on since the last time we posted. Good, I see you posted today. So, I'm glad we can handle this promptly.
I don't use Raze My Settlement. I only use Clean My Settlement and then only if I really need to. Some people feel those can mess up your game. Read around and see what you find out. Information is constantly changing. As far as I know Clean My Settlement hasn't bothered my game.
The link I have posted for Pra's is the same you posted above. Any time anything related to SS2 mods is updated I always install the update. Here is Pra's change logs so you can see what has changed. I would update it.
No, I don't need to update or change anything when addon updates become available. Unless it's something like what happened to those ROTC plans. Ch2 broke those for some reason, I don't know why. Could Kinggath change something in chapter three to break any settlements made with chapter 2? I guess so. But that's a long way off.
My computer is older than that. I don't know when I'll be able to get another one.

Go here first and follow the instructions: Installation Instructions. From the King and his court.
Additional info: For Vortex or MO2.
Have you sorted the load order? Yes or No?
VORTEX - Beginner's Guide #4: Plugins and Load Order. It's for Skyrim but same difference.
Vortex: Change Load Order in Vortex and The Vortex approach to load order sorting.
MO2 & LOOT: LOOT For Mod Organizer 2 Download & Set Up.
In your manager. After installing mod. Make sure the mod is enabled "checked" so it's available in the game.
