Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou :D  I've been searching for a mod that would do this for years.  Some have come close but never quite seemed to get there.  It works perfectly with my Jetpack mod of choice (Jetpack Ring https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35900).  I really hope this is going to work in Fallout4 VR, it's an esp so it should.  I'll report back as soon as I've tested it.  Brilliant work - massive thumbs up :).

I don't know why no one said this yet, but if you're using GCM you'll need to change the following values:

    fJetpackThrustInitial900
    fJetpackDrainSustained10
    fJetpackTimeToSustained0.2
    fJetpackDrainInital10

Not sure what the GCM names are but should be easy to infer.

Does it work with ECO's Universal Workbench Jetpack unique effect added via entry point on gear pieces?

The description recommends a fall damage reduction mod, does anyone have a good recommendation for that?

Also does not seem to work. the CROSS jet pack chews threw my AP in about a second still with this installed.

This mod reduces the AP cost of using the jetpack more than sixfold. If you have a miniscule amount of AP to begin with, it's still possible to burn them very fast. Just means that without the mod, you would have lasted less than 1/6th of a second. Either that or you just did not install this correctly.

As for fall damage negation for the CROSS Jetpack, try this: CROSS Jetpack Impact Dampener v3 - No Fall Damage

I discovered the problem, GCMs settings overwrites your mod; may want to add it in the description as a conflict.

Another option for reducing falling damage is the Acrobat legendary effect. Each armor or clothing item with this effect reduces falling damage by 50%. Ergo, two will keep you perfectly safe no matter how high the drop.

There's also any number of 'Jetpack Rings' which essentially eliminate (or greatly reduce) fall damage, so they're not limited to CROSS or any particular jetpack.

I finally got around to trying it in Fallout4VR but sadly it doesn't seem to work.  Could it be because it's an .esl marked .esp?  Regards.

Nice mod! It works really well.
But I would like to report that there is a incompatibility with your mod and the Power Armor to the People mod, in which the game stays in a infinite load screen if the two are enabled together.

[Edit] Figured it out, Game Configuration Menu overrides the settings, but I was able to import them instead so THANK YOU for a very nice jetpack experience!

Dunno how he 'imported', but there's only four settings...
...so, I just manually changed 'em in GCM to match.  (After checking 'em in FO4Edit.)

tbh nothing is explained about the "flying" part of the mod.

does it have a hover etc?...

is just same as the "unlimited jetpack" cheats as in you are actually moving via walking ,faster youve set walking the same speed of you moving in the air.?

you still have to keep prodding the button to stay up.?

does it randomly : stop working/plummet to ground/reset player positon to ground when crossing cell borders or event triggers ?

    thanks.

"Flying" is used figuratively, you will still use your preferred jetpack and control it the same way you used to, just the general freedom of movement, range of movement, number of difficult to reach places becoming easily accessible -- all of that will be expanded manifold, because the factors this mod modifies all have a cumulative effect on each other.

It does not do anything randomly.

As for how it compares to cheats, I have no idea, never used any. This mod is (in my subjective opinion) not a cheat, just a rebalance, and who's to say the way jetpack was balanced initially wasn't overly restrictive to begin with.

Deinstalled CUTE jet pack , installed CROSS jet pack. Power armor still uses vanilla flying effect. Personal jet pack same. For me, mod doesnt work. Installed with Vortex. Used Loot.

One question, can you adjust the speed of the jetpack so that for example when used the player's speed is set to 200 while returning to normal when walking?
