This mod reworks the Institute weapons by adding stronger MK2 and MK3 versions of the Institute energy weapon, which will appear equipped by higher level enemies. There is also a new legendary Institute gun.

We are told throughout the game that the Institute is technologically superior. However, their apparently advanced weapons are worse than the default laser gun. This is weird. This mod aims to address that.
I've added three new Institute weapons: MK2 and MK3 variants of the Institute gun, along with a new unique weapon. It also changes the levelled lists of some synth NPCs to equip higher level synths with these weapons. The goal is to better sell the technological prowess of the Institute and make the synths a bit more threatening, as they are comically weak in the vanilla game. This means that, for once, a player may occasionally decide that using Institute weapons is worth it over a laser. The MK2 is designed to be slightly better than the vanilla laser gun, while the MK3 is designed to compete with plasma.
