Awww man! It's almsot prefect. Only problem? You used the sound of a minigun as recorded at about... I'd say 5 miles away. Specifically an A-10's big gun firing, likly from a video of it wiping out a target during training. This would be prefect for the distant sound model! We jsut need a close up recording for the gun you fire.
the thing is an A-10 minigun uses 30mm rounds that why its sounds like hell. In Fallout 4 they use smaller 5mm rounds hence the weaker sound. tho a little bit of bass to the sound would help.
It might not be, but I can tell you as someone who grew up on an airforce base where A10 pilots trained that this is basically what one sounds like at an extreme distance, say 5 miles or so. The "BRRRRRRTTTT!" is a more close in noise.
Can't get it to work. Installed using NMM and now I just have no minigun firing sound at all. The sound for it spinning up is still there, but once it starts firing rounds there's no sound at all. Have tried re-downloading and re-installing several times to no avail.
The problem is: the minigun in Fallout 4 is not as fast as a real minigun, which makes the sound not match with how many times the gun is actually firing.
That's an issue you will get in every single videogame. I use the base game version because it lines up with the firing speed. I don't think i needa tell you that a real miniguns fire rate is obscene... and would use the Fallout magazine in seconds.
It is a great mod, and the sound is exactly like a minigun sounds in reality. I must say tho that the sound should be louder considering your are earing it at very short distance. Please note, that if a companion or other npc fires the minigun it sounds vanilla, and considering the only reason why I dowloaded is because my baby is covering my back with a minigun... I am mildly disappointed, hope you can fix this.
What do you mean by "it doesn't show up?" If you mean in your modlist: It's because it simply replaces the sound files. No ESP needed. So after youve installed it you can just start the game, take a minigun and shoot. You should hear the difference.
