I'll try to help here but it is due to load order on this/these.
Installation: - Do Not use a mod installer for radio type mods. - In fact you should never rely upon download managers to do modding. They are okay to a point but there is no automatic LOOT or sorting that will make things work that have more complicated patches. You can tell what mods will be like this by the patches available for the mod. If it is 1 or 2 specific it 'might' be okay but I still would not trust the patches. - So what do you do? Manual install, place the mod at the bottom, then open xEdit and see what this new mod is overriding.
So for this mod....do the manual install.
You will notice there is no Data folder in the download. Extract it and make a Data folder. Now drag everything in this to the Data folder then drag the Data folder to Fallout4 game folder.
Load Order: - I have these radio mods up near the top and they work fine. However, I do manual sorting by using xEdit to make sure the load order will be right. In reference to this mod (and Jet Fuel Radio....was a pain....the new patch makes it much more stable). - I am posting how I have all the radio type mods sorted which are above the visual mods like Darker Nights and other things. ...... *TuneTheRadios.esl *ExtraRadios.esl *Mors Sit Anywhere.esl *AbernathyVendorFix.esl *RocksAndTrees.esp *SKKAmmoOMatic.esp *SKKFastBOS.esp *SKKFastMinutemen.esp *Blues Radio DBR.esp *DCRE.esp *JetfuelRadio.esp *DarkerNights.esp ......
New Game vs Current Save - I never add or remove mods during a current save. I do add mods at the bottom when just figuring out if I like the mod or not. If not I simply restore my previous backup from my NAS drive. - From experience adding audio type mods during a current save they will not load up correctly. Even if they do load up they will end up breaking at some point. When starting a new save and never changing the load order reference the audio files work fine. Jet Fuel Radio was the exception to this and the new patch for this fixes it very well.
TLDR and Such So my advice to make sure any radio mod works is: - Manual Installs Only - Check your load order manually with xEdit (mine above is correct and works) - Never adjust/change your load order during your current save/session/story.
I knew about the quest start and stop but did not think of it sorry. Never had to do it. I have been bitten by the load order though a number of times.
It's obviously me...but for the life of me I can't get this to work. I installed through vortex but I have complete radio silence. What am I doing wrong? When I uninstall then the radio works normal
Apparently one CC uses the same signal, though I don't know which and not the mod author's problem; post Next Gen. I have a new install of F4 after the NextGen and the only load order is vanilla + a ton of CC + the best radio mod for DC imo too. Dang it.
I'm not sure what to do, and I have yet to see anyone talk about this issue; Im installing mid-game on a new separate save file, and I also have the radio fix mod. I think overall, the mod is working because I have heard one song so far that's included with the mod, but my issue is that I don't have the holotape anywhere. Not sure why and I've tried the basic fixes of loading a new nonmodded save as well as completely redownloading the game and separate mods. This is my first time modding Fallout, so I am not sure if it is something on my end, even though I have no additional mods. I tried the manual installation, and the mod worked, but no holotape, then got the Vortex download thing, and it again worked, but no holotape. Starting to lose hope, but I'm beginning to go crazy with the limited radio songs...
If I add my own .xwm music files to the DCRE folder, will this mod and its smart shuffle continue to work seamlessly? Just curious if any of the scripts or fragment files operate around the set amount of music you’ve added, or if I can freely add/remove more.
So i dont know much about this mod, but installing it mid play through, as I hated how repetitive the music was, activating it correctly, worked perfectly.. but then upon closing the game and loading a save again, I started getting severe fps drops. like going from 60 to 10fps the entire time every time i loaded a save.
Uninstalled the mod and no issues now. Back to 60fps. I'm not sure how a simple music mod would even cause this, but congrats to the developer for even managing to make that possible...? I have some experience in coding, and making mods, and not sure what you would even do to cause this.... Obviously crappy ass code. Highly recommend anyone to not install this.
I had this problem a while back, some things like the radio are tied to the frame rate. So if you cap your fps to 60 you shouldn't encounter this issue anymore. Hope that helps :)
Does anyone know why I can't skip song anymore with "E"? I was working a couple of days ago but now it doesn't work for Dimond City Radio. It works with the others.

Great that you solved this!
Thank you!
Thank you for the mod!
