Issues with the mod? Questions? The FAQ is here. If you ask a question or submit a bug report that is clearly explained in that article, I'm unlikely to respond (bug reports will be closed without a response). Repeating myself over and over again gets old fast. That's why FAQs exist. Read it.

The same goes for the information below. If it's been addressed on this page, don't expect me to repeat it.

Welcome to Version 5 - likely the last aside from possible bug fixes or minor updates. If you're installing/updating on an existing save, see the FAQ entries "Updating the mod?" and/or "Is it safe to install/update mid-game?".

Major changes from the previous version:

- Easier updating -
I've added a version check to the script to automatically reset the radio quest on load when a version change is detected (applies to new games only - see the FAQ entry "Is it safe to install/update mid-game?" otherwise).

- Smart shuffle -
I wasn't really happy with the randomizer in the previous version. Looked good on paper, not so much in practice. It was a little too random for my tastes. Some songs you would hear quite often, others almost never. Version 5 uses more of a smart shuffle so that you will hear every added track before it reshuffles and starts again.
The caveat of the new shuffling algorithm is that the old feature of Travis introducing new songs is gone. It was a cool little feature but had minimal impact for the added complexity.
Only the added tracks are included in the shuffle (plus The Wanderer, which doesn't have an intro/outro). The vanilla tracks have reverted to vanilla behavior. This means that every first and last song in a song loop will be vanilla. If the vanilla to added tracks ratio is not to your liking, check out option 2 or 3 below.

- New options added to the holotape -
1. Toggle Travis's personality - Use the Travis you prefer regardless of whether or not you've completed the quest.
2. More music, less talk - Increase the length of the music only interim between intro and outro songs.
3. More talk, less music - Decrease the length of the music only interim between intro and outro songs.
Notes:
- Option 1 hasn't been tested thoroughly. It works but don't be surprised if there is a hiccup.
- Max value for options 2 & 3 is 9. Minimum value is 1 (vanilla). Default is 3.
- The values shown in the Pip-Boy for options 2 & 3 do not include the intro and outro songs. A value of 3 means 5 songs will play between Travis's intro and outro dialogues.

- The option to turn off/on Magnolia's tracks actually works -

DESCRIPTION

258 NEW LORE FRIENDLY SONGS ADDED TO DIAMOND CITY RADIO

 - That makes a grand total of 300 songs - ~13.5 hours of tunes.
 - All of the songs have been trimmed and normalized for perceived loudness (-18 LUFS) so there shouldn't be any overly long pauses (outside of the vanilla ones), surprise volume spikes, or quiet songs.
 - The current track list can be found in this article.

ALL OF TRAVIS' MONOLOGUE IS INTACT AND WORKING PROPERLY
 - This mod doesn't touch the vanilla sound descriptors or modify any of the sound files for Travis.

ADDS MAGNOLIA FROM THE START
 - I know. I'm weird. But it really bugs me that Magnolia is the Schrödinger's cat of Diamond City Radio, so I made her music available from the beginning of the game. For the haters out there, there is an optional setting that completely removes her from Diamond City Radio.
 - "Rocket 69" is another track that only plays when certain in-game conditions are met. That one is available from the start, as well.

ADDS MORE DIALOGUE FOR TRAVIS
 - Hard to call this a feature because there's only two so far - one intro and one outro for pre "Confidence Man" - but I want to be clear about what the mod is adding.

OPTIONAL SETTINGS HOLOTAPE
 - Crafted at the chem station. It's a very simple holotape and I've made no attempt so far to make it immersive or anything. The following settings are off by default.

 No Magnolia:
Completely removes Magnolia from DCR. Her songs will no longer play, nor will Travis introduce them.

 Silver Shroud radio plays:
Adds the Silver Shroud radio plays to DCR. Currently set to play a new episode roughly every 24 (in-game) hours. This may change based on feedback.

 No Travis:
Completely removes Travis from DCR. No intros, outros, advertisements, news... nothin'. Just music.

VERSION DIFFERENCES

Version 2
- No longer maintained.
- Only 149 added tracks.
- Requires additional add-ons to enable requested features (No Magnolia, No Travis, and the Silver Shroud radio plays).
Known Issues:
- None

Version 4
- No longer maintained as of V5.
Known Issues:
- Magnolia's tracks are not playing regardless of the holotape setting. This is a scripting issue. One that I may never get around to correcting. If you want to hear Magnolia, use one of the other versions.
- (Post "Confidence Man" only) Rarely, under very specific circumstances, Travis will skip his intro and the last song played will repeat.
