I'm not above criticism just don't be a tool about it lol I will remove the comment and if it continues I will block you. Just be civil.
Addendum: I haven't forgotten about this Mod things are crazy in my life and have been job hunting and trying to scrap money together so I don't loos more than My car. Ill look into getting this updated to make it compatible with other mods, If anybody has tutorials for how to make other mods, textures weapons and power armorer that would be very much appreciated.
so im having a problem that Preset's aren't accessable ...? I know i have some downloaded but I can't acess any presets.... i'm pressing R thats on the menu but nothing...
then Im VERY confused, UNLESS the FAILURE of an update broke the original mod that this fixes. If that's the case theres nothing I can do Unless SOMEHOW I'm given control over that abandoned Mod.
It's locked sadly.... with the new update and the new F4SE update beta out and without this and the other Looksmenu CC mod not getting updated, luckly Looksmenu is getting updated by expired
This is what is in your files for presets that locking presets
[Presets]; Turns off loading of the section within presetsbIgnoreTintPalettes=0 ; Default[0]bIgnoreTintTextures=0 ; Default[0]bIgnoreTintMasks=0 ; Default[0]
If Presets are greyed out or features are restricted:
1.) Make sure you're launching the game using F4SE and that it's running as admin, mods should be up to date with the current version. if you use MO2 you will need to create an F4SE_loader.exe Instance In the MO2 executable if you don't have one already. If you launch via Steam or via running Fallout4.exe instead of F4SE, or any method from outside of MO2. That will prevent LooksMenu from running properly. "LooksMenu.esp" should also be enabled in the plugins tab.
3.) If you're using Buffout 4, you need to find the "config.toml" file. The directory of the file location should look like this ModOrganizer\Fallout 4\mods\Buffout 4\F4SE\Plugins\Buffout4. It may be different for Vortex users, but you can also right click the file In your Mod Organizer and click on "Open in Explorer". Navigate to the path shown above. Once you find "config.toml" right click, open with and edit it with Notepad or Notepad++. You will then find a "[Compatibility]" tab (if you can't find it hit CTRL + F and search for it). Under that tab F4EE is set to "false" by default, change this to "true" and make sure to save.
4.) If you are an ultrawide 21:9 user like myself, and are using a compatibility mod such as Ultra Wide Interface. Reinstall the mod using your Mod Manager and select the correct compatibility options in the FOMOD or in the files tab if applicable. If that doesn't work, you have to go Into the "Interface" folder in your Ultra Wide Interface mod. I am using MO2 so the easiest way to do this is to search for the mod by using the "Filter" feature bottom left corner near the plugins tab. Once you find your mod right click, then click on "Open in Explorer". You then want to click on the "Interface" folder and search for "LooksMenu.swf" go ahead and delete it. Once that is complete your preset(s) should work.
This has not been tested on Next-Gen and only tested using the downgraded version. I understand this was a bit long I do sincerely hope this worked. It took me hours to find fixes. Hopefully these steps lead you in the right direction and save you the headache. Happy Modding!
I was looking for a solution in comment sections for my texture mods, google, reddit. None could tell me what was wrong with my setup. This actually solved my problem!
It would have never occured to me to look at my F4SE-files.
Does this fix LooksMenu's skin overrides bug? The one where after exiting the game then loading your save, whatever skin overrides you choose will disappear. So, you need to manually apply the overrides again and again, almost every time you load your save.
For some reason when this mod is added to HiPoly Faces and Expressive Expressions the back of the head and neck look like Dr Frankenstein stitched it together from multiple corpses.
interesting i dont know much about those two mods never had any real interest in them seemed like a hassle to install currently had to uninstall fallout ill try to figure it out next time I install Fallout 4
So this mod mostly works for me. However, when in character creation and going to BODY, then hitting ADVANCED, the slider area is not populated with anything. It is there, I can move my mouse in the area and use arrows to manipulate something that I cannot see. Overlays do not work either, at all.
I am using Body Talk 3 and Fusion Girl, not CBBE as my body mods. I have looks menu, the compendium AND the fix installed. I also manually manipulated the ini to read as below but no change. So so very close it is frustrating. Any guidance?

[CharGen]
uTintWidth=1024
uTintHeight=1024
Change it to 2048 if you use 2k face

load lmcc.esp after thbrows.esp.
Don't know why but this will give you all the missing options back.
