• Update the mod to the latest release and try again. The problem may have already been fixed. • Read the mod page. It may be a known issue, and there may be documentation about it. • Replicate the problem with a minimal load order. Load the game with this mod, and only it’s requirements. If the problem is fixed, you have a mod conflict. • If you added this mod to an existing game, try starting a new game and replicating the problem. Some mods will only take effect or work correctly when starting a new game. This is a limitation of the game.
I know you are doing stuff for SS2, problem for me with your settlement is that I can't connect it to SS2 caravan network even though I have working caravan plot in hangmans alley
As far as SS2 is concerned, this (and all internal settlements AFAIK) are treated as cross worldspace travel, so you need to have the HQ set up, and Caravan Expeditions researched in the Logistics Department.
Can you make a version where you can remove columns, wood, floors to change, as in vanilla? Because with your mod, even the mod Scrap Everything can not remove all of this (even with the option enabled, in which you can delete even the workshop itself and break the settlement).
Is there a way to turn off the recruitment beacon or otherwise keep regular settlers from turning up? I turned Home Plate into a Minuteman outpost/embassy populated only by Minutemen settlers (created via We Are the Minutemen) and would like to keep it that way.
I didn't build one, though. For some reason, at some point a settler recruitment radio signal started playing without my having build any beacon and a few settlers spawned.
However, the issue seems to have self-resolved somehow. I sent the settlers elsewhere, saved, and exited the game. Later, when I started the game back up, there was no more radio signal. So, who knows. Probably some weird mod conflict.
Edit: typo
Edited to add: Thank you for your time and quick reply regardless.
Hey Yagisan, I had a question. So what happens if you link a vanilla caravan to Home Plate? Does the settler walk back and forth to Diamond City or no?
I answered this on Discord, but for anyone one else that is interested. Yes, vanilla provisioners correctly path out of Home Plate, through Diamond City, and then to the settlement they are linked to. It also works correctly with both SimSettlements 1 and SimSettlements 2 plots, and the ILS Desk.
Does this work with Horizon? I have it installed, as well as Sims settlements 2, but whenever i buy and enter HomePlate for the first time, nothing is changed and it doesnt work as a settlement
I have no idea. I don't use Horizon anymore. Not for a very, very long time.
Just to clarify:
This mod is actually enabled right? Sometimes Vortex doesn't enable files If it is enabled, you are unable to **send** any settlers to home plate, and can not establish a supply line to it?
it was enabled, yes. i can send them to homeplate but cant establish a supply line to it. but i could send settlers there before downloading the mod. im about to test if it works without horizon, however. bc horizon changes the layout and such of homeplate so i feel like its probably conflicting
The clutter still being there is normal, I suppose? Interact with the Settlement Workbench (the red thing), and it should be added to your lists of settlements. If it isn't I guess it's got something to do with your other mods
So I was dumb and didn't read that I shouldn't already own The Homeplate before installing and installed anyways. It seems to work fine though? I just got started with it, I'll try out some things and we'll see if anything breaks.
Edit: some minor weirdness occurred, a bunch of plots appeared on top of each other in a corner and it was a hilarious mess, including multiple animals. Otherwise it seems to be working as intended. I'll update this post again, once I got to play more and send more settlers there. Thanks for the great mod, btw!
probley a dumb a question i do apologize..420 lol....do i need i need to download both files if i use SS2? or just the optional file? im gonna guess both so ill start there :)

It works so well with the mod SKK Fast Start Location since you can pick Home Plate as your game start.
Cheers!

Except for that, the mod is awesome.

After I purchased HP, I went down and it was still cluttered as normal... How do I start the mod? How do I get the overlay to be pulled in?
