Sounds like a texture issue. Make sure you have all of the required mods installed - not all of them are plug and play. Looksmenu Customization Compendium has to be installend manually for example.
If it's only the forehead (and not the known brown face bug), you could try to go into Looksmenu -> Extras -> Face Paint and disable "Head Smudge".
I confused the Customization Compendium with this mod here. Forgot to add it to the required files before. But since installing Hooper and Tobe did the trick for you I assume that NotWord's mod contains a similar texture file.
