This is a good, easy-to-use mod that makes ammo crafting reasonably. The only reason I stopped using it is that it's a bit too tempting to make 2mm EC rounds to get rich. If I knew how to mod, I'd make a patch to increase the steel requirement or reduce the yield for 2mm EC by about tenfold. Thanks!
In an already crowded field of ammo crafting mods, you might think another one is pointless. But not to me. All the other ones are missing ammo types, feature unnecessary extra complex systems, have weird perk requirements, etc etc.
If you want a plain ass ballistic ammo crafting mod that just does what it says on the tin, no more, no less... this is the one.
Handmade Bullets... craftable ammunition! The mod is a good idea that somehow did not make it to the game. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas. I'll add this to my own "Better Fallout 4" folder. : D
Another one? Like most of the other ammo workbench mods, this is a bit overpriced. The contraptions workshop only requires 1 copper, 1 lead and 1 fertilizer to make 10 rounds of .308 .
The recipes in this mod craft ammo in batches of 50, so it's 2 lead, 3 fertilizer, and 4 copper, for 50 rounds of .308. The recipe in the contraptions workshop DLC requires 1 lead, 1 fertilizer, and 1 copper to craft 10 rounds of .308, therefore 5 lead, 5 fertilizer, and 5 copper to craft 50 rounds of .308. So the recipe in this mod is actually cheaper per round.
