This post does not specifically apply to this mod. It's just good info and good load order practice.
A good general load order for weapons is:
1) Standard Weapon Mods
2) Vanilla Weapon Modifiers Mods which change damage and components, ie: Weapon Mod fixes, Immersive Reflex Sight, Equilibrium...etc.
3) Vanilla Weapon Replacers Replacers often have their own settings and have new models for the parts of the weapon. Many also replace some of the workbench modifications which go onto them. That's why they need to go after mods which affect weapons or weapon components.
I'm playing with and am having a blast the only thing is I wish there was an extended magazine tube just so I can have 2 more shells even if it takes longer to reload
being using this for a long time without any problems. Now after having to reinstall everything I have a weird bug with the rem92. Everytime I shot it takes a long time to lever action animation. Like it is on slow motion. The reload and the animation itself is perfect but slowed down. I've tried to reinstall again to see if it fixes but no luck. I have no idea what is breaking the animation. Any clues?
no no. I'm not using bcr version and I downgraded the game with simple downgrade. Infact this is the only change I think from the old setup. That's why I'm confused and have no idea why its breaking the animation, or slowing it down
Edit: Well I've found a fix. For some reason when I spawned on console a new gun it worked well, my old one is broken even switching attachments didn't worked probably somethinh is messed up in my save game but well I know the engine "hates" when you mess around on outgoing save and having a full reinstall of mods even though I did backup everything probably messed something. So I think is nothing related to the mod itself and I don't think is a load order issue as I still use the same rules as before. Ty buddy your mods are always amazing hehe I use a lot of them.
EDIT 2 hehe: I'll leave here incase someone have a similar issue. When I was reinstalling the mods I did a mistake. I installed this one first and then the main mod. This mod is a replacer so it replace the original esp. U need to install the main rem92 mod first (in my case I was reinstalling all my mods) and then the 4estgimp mod this way it will replace the original esp. Doing the reinstallation fixed my problem.
Is there any way for this to work with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/70933?
The animation for the vanilla lever action is much smoother than the other two patches for right-hand lever action and BCR, this one also works with TR.
I know this is an old post but I managed to get it to work. By default it causes the shotgun to have a little hop after a partial reload but if you mimic the BCR Folder setup it will eliminate the hop.
So you need to add a folder called 'BCR' with an Ini file named 'GS Lever Action Shotgun.esp.ini' that has: [Weapons] weaponFormId_LeverActionShotgun(PostReloadAnim)=159a5
Good afternoon. I love the idea of an old lever action shotgun in this game. This might be one of the most noob questions I have asked on this site:
When you say "Hide "GS Lever Action Shotgun.esp" after installation", do you mean to uncheck the plugin on NMM? I never came across the term 'hide' when talking about a mod ~shrugs~
My apologies for being a bother. I would appreciate any input. Thank you for your time.
Nevermind..... I figured it out. Thank you anyway.
Thanks so much for this update, it's a wonderful weapon and I was really sad when I started looking through the esp with FO4Edit to see why TAS wasn't detecting the mods properly lol. Now I can properly alternate muzzles, yay.
One note - is it possible to get a version that doesn't change the sounds? This is the only lever-action anything I use so I don't care if it changes other weapons. Turns out I prefer the sounds to the muzzle functionality.
The sounds aren't tied to muzzle functionality. It was just a straight up conflict with vanilla which the original MA used. A vanilla record was re-routed to use new sounds rather than having the sounds associated in the animations. I can't complain about that since animations are out of my skillset ;) Anyway, I really don't want to add another version with a conflicting file. Maintaining multiple versions is tiring when updates are performed.
No worries, I appreciate the quick reply though! I realize the muzzles aren't tied to the sounds, it was just a matter of I had to choose which I wanted - fixed functionality or the original mod lever action audio. I ended up changing your replacer into a patch to resolve the problem. Kept the original lever action audio intact with your updated fire audio and other fixes. Everything works great now, thanks.
I'm having an issue where installing this mod breaks the animation for the Rem92. Everyone is holding the weapon up and it appears in pieces. The mod works fine without your mod installed, im stumped. I dont have any other animation mods and every other weapon works fine I installed the right handed animations, the REm92 original mod and then this one. Overwriting the original mod with this one.
Either one of the BCR patches works for me but an online friend mentioned that some people have issues with the one on the main page.
Verify your load order too. DO NOT TRUST LOOT TO SET THE LOAD ORDER. Make sure the other mods are not providing GS Lever Action Shotgun.esp and only mine is.
Hey thanks for the reply, I don't use BCR so I'm using the main file from the rem92 mod page the right handed animations and this one. Also the mod is last on my load order.
Also Xedit doesn't show any conflicts, very strange ? Must be something in the new esp that's doing it for me
Did you install my mod after you had been playing with the main REM92 mod for a bit. Was the shotgun you are testing spawned with my patch in place or did you get it when my mod was not installed?
Thanks for the update, If author is open to suggestions, is it possible to add fix for new weapon sounds replacing stock (reload and lever). Its a problem if you want to use f4nv single action alongside this gun.

It took a while to get to it though.
