I've got to be entering some command wrong. I've tried to get like six to play and, while I don't get any error in the console saying I entered it wrong, just...nothing happens. The character doesn't do any dances and just moves as normal.

I tried "playidle dcy_jazz_world2" and "playidle dcy_hip_bodywave" and my character didn't do anything. Though, is it compatible with character skeleton mods, such as ZaZ Extended Skeleton like I have, or no?
Yeah, that'll be it. As with several other console commands, the playidle command requires a target, whether it's by specifing the REFID or by clicking on something
Yep, works now XD. Also, doesn't appear to do anything unusual with ZaZ skeleton, and also I technically have a custom character installed, and it still works wonderfully.
I am trying to find these in the creation kit but I am having trouble. I was hoping there was already an associated form in CK but I am not sure now after digging in. If anyone knows please let me know if not I am sure I will find a way to build a form for it.
For those of you wondering I am just trying to update the Assignable Dance Rugs Mod but it will take some time a bit more research but I've already made some headway [EDIT] I found a much simpler way head over to that mods posts section to see how I did it if you are interested. Hopefully we can get it as a patch or something soon.
Melbourne smellborn - Ozzies should be ashamed of trying to somehow claim ownership of that dance for it's just a very dumbed down (er sorry, simplified re-cut) version of just one of many fantastic steps the sublime Al & Leon were doing on stage in the 1920s.
