    Okay, there are things I want to announce as far as updating/expanding on this idea goes. More info about each thing in the spoilers.

    1. Considering making a patch for the Point Lookout mod.

    So the Point Lookout mod recently released for Fallout 4. I asked about the extent of the adjustments they made for the Sole Survivor and the reply I got from NafNaf45  was:

    "Nope its much more than just player dialouge, bits of quests have been altered to fit Fallout 4s protagonist. Most of these things are not very apparent until you get to them."

    So what I think I'll do is play through it to find out exactly what I need to change.  Others who have played through this mod are also free to tell me exactly what needs to be changed and I'll take a look.


    Played through the main questline of Point Lookout and traveled back to the Commonwealth. Going to be honest. I didn't really see anything in the Point Lookout main questline that I needed to tweak. There was one instance, but it was so vague that it wouldn't kill any immersion as it could be interpreted in many different ways. So without giving spoilers I'll say anyone being the Lone Wanderer or just not the Sole Survivor in general should not have their immersion killed.

    If you're okay with spoilers, the one instance I'm talking about is (WARNING: SPOILERS on the mod):

    When you go on that trip which leads to you getting your head cut open. You see Preston, Maxson, Nora in her pod, etc. but they disappear as soon as you interact with them. They didn't say anything from what I recall. When I talked to what I think was Kellogg, there was an explosion and you woke up, surviving the surgery that was done to you. Other than that I didn't notice anything that could be considered a direct reference pointing to the protagonist being the Sole Survivor. Even then, the Lone Wanderer can see dead Nora in her pod, meet Preston, etc. You will even see these npcs even if you haven't met them yet. Maybe there was more to the segment or other content in the Point Lookout mod that I missed/have yet to explore, but just going by my own experience. Main questline seems fine. Will look at any other content that I may have missed at some point to make sure that's all good too.

    Edit: I've gone through most of the side missions now. Still not really seeing anything I need to change.

    I plan to make new companions based around this roleplay.

    10/25/22 (Released CW Dogmeat Vanilla Dogmeat Replacer and Optional LW RP Addon)

    11/1/22 (replacing Sarah Lyons and potential Project Zeta Roger addon with Hexa, a female alien companion)
    -As I was working on Sarah Lyons the lower pitched female player voice started feeling more and more unsuitable so I repurposed the mod to make another companion instead. It was a very quick decision, but after what I've done these past few days for this new companion, I have no regrets.
    -This companion was something I didn't know I needed. She's an alien. Not a Zetan, but a member of another species. Don't want to say any more on her character like personality, story, voice, etc. as of yet other than that in less than a week I've done more for her than any other character I touched in any all of my mods. This includes Christine Kendall who had this spot for a while.
    -I still plan to work more on Christine and the Male Scribe (his name is Flint at the moment by the way) of course, but I think I'll focus on this companion since I'm more excited to write stuff for her and she's ahead of everyone else when it comes to progress.
    -Cleaned up the sticky post. Summarized past stuff, removed unnecessary/outdated information, etc.

    11/3/22 (Hexa progress)
    -Added and polished 1 of the 2 versions of the introduction (the vanilla version) to my Hexa Companion mod
    -Shared a video in the videos section. Feel free to listen to get a feel for this WIP companion.
    -More details on this companion in the description of this video.

    11/6/22 (updated LW RP Addon to v1.02, updated LW RP Addon to v1.03)
    -There's some more dialogues that I caught which needs attention while rushing to recruit Danse from a new save and confirming everything is 100% fine.

    11/7/22 (tested new Danse affinity conversation tweaks and they work)
    -Finally got to the point of recruiting Danse and tested the 250 and 500 affinity conversations. Everything works for me.
    -Tested what I will currently add next update so those tweaks will be fine since I was modifying certain dialogues as I saw them.

    11/8/22 (updated LW RP Addon to v1.04)
    -Got some other stuff I want to focus on like my Fallout Companions and PoE2 mod update so before I forget I'm just going to drop the 1.04 update today. Read changelog for changes.
    -Will probably be the last update for a bit (at least for this month) unless some other crucial vanilla dialogue that would break immersion if not changed needs to be tweaked.

      Agreed it would be super funny to see a dialogue option of "what the f*#@ are you doing here mungo?" When you see him.

    I am very irritated. The dialogue prompts are showing but when I click them he just says the usual dialogue prompt it replaced. For example, I'm doing the interview with piper and it says "It's been years since I left the vault in the capital wasteland." but then he SAYS "I'm nOt a VaUlT DweLlEr" and so I don't get to do the full interview. Why is this happening???

    Update 1: I downloaded there version that references pipers interview and it did not fix this issue and I'm concerned that this will just be the case with all of the dialogue options.

    Update 2: Redownloaded the entirety of both mods, started new game, went to diamond city had the same issue. then downloaded the original start me up with the lw addon pack for that started a new game same thing. guess the mod gods have it out for me.

      Doesn't the requirements mention needing a mod to silence the protagonist? Or does the protagonist actually directly say the words that LW addon replaces?

    An interesting mod, but I am wary of using it because I use Roleplayer's Extended Dialogue which has an option to change certain dialogue options to be from the Lone Wanderer's perspective and I wonder if these two will be compatible. Likely the compatibility will only boil down to if the mods clash while trying to alter the same dialogue, but I assume that would only be possible to test by cross examining changes done by both mods?
    1. To my knowledge, RED actually ADDS dialogue options, rather than just changing them, so I don't THINK they'd conflict? I'm not 100% sure though

    I wonder if, narratively, this mod would work with Project Valkyrie, which adds it's own version of Sarah Lyons?

      Not at the moment. I'm busy with making stuff surrounding the LW right now.
      For a couple of companions I have yet to mention because they're a bit lower on the priotity list and in the early stages, they got some stuff laid out where they comment on Project Mojave stuff (for example the hispanic female merc I want to place in a Project Mojave location comments about the strippers in Gomorrah) so I may take a look at adding some Courier related dialogue then. It might be the TTW Courier though where LW snd Courier are the same since it'd require a lot of rewrites for companions like Christine if I did non LW Courier.

      Just to quote myself in a previous post though:
      As for an alternate version for a TTW Lone Wander, it wouldn't be impossible at all though I don't want to brute force it. If there are any conversations where a TTW Lone Wanderer would 100% be bringing up their time in the Mojave then I would be all for it. And of course if I don't do it, anyone else is free to take this add-on and put their own spin on it if they want :)

    Thanks for this... I swap between Sole Survivor and Lone Wanderer (Scavva version) and looking forward to testing your mod. I won't be using a Silence Player dialogue mod because the voice acting is one of the things I love about FO4, and I can focus on the text when needed and allow the odd RPG misfire to happen.

    FYI, Start Me Up NORMAL DIALOGUE PROMPTS is designed for Extended Dialogue Interface while the FULL DIALOGUE version is designed for Full Dialogue Interface... I'm guessing your mod would work for both as long as you select the correct pairing.

    Just to tell you, Start Me Up Redux main plugin is only main game and Far Harbor only, Nuka World is still a separate one.

      Are you talking about your mod? I downloaded your most recent update just now and it shows DLCCoast and DLCNukaWorld as masters in the StartMeUp esp.



      I'll list the dlcs as a requirement for my mod so it won't matter for those who use this though.

      Oh, sorry, it might be some misunderstanding, I was saying that "my own" Start Me Up Redux are split into 2 plugins. One for main/far harbor and another for Nuka World, since Nuka World patch has partial record edits that I do not wish to merge into the main plugin. And I was saying this in case it may affect your design choices when it comes to your mods.

      However Redux will requires DLCs as it requires UFO4P

      I imagine everything will be fine as far as I can tell.
      I'll take a quick look through things later to make sure though. There are a couple more conversations I need to look at so I can check other stuff while doing that as well.

      Okay, I see why you mentioned this. After taking a look at your most recent changes, even though you've removed the mention of pre-war times, it still makes the protagonist say that they have never heard of Rivet City in one of Danse's conversations. I missed covering this dialogue entirely so thanks for reminding me to check your mod's changes.
      I'll overwrite this new record in an update with an appropriate response for the Lone Wanderer and check for more.

    This is a great mod, it'd be even better if dialogue with Doctor Li is altered too since the LW would be familiar with them from fallout 3 :)

      I believe I already altered a bit of the Doctor Li related stuff. Working on another mod for another game right now, but quick look in FO4Edit shows that you should be getting a few edits for her:
