Just going through the uninstall/reinstall ritual and hoping it solves the issue.
Mod always worked fine before, don't know what happened this time, otherwise a great mod.
Edit: Just realised I was using V6 which is for NG game, my game is pre NG. Tried V5 and it worked perfectly so there is your answer....V5 for old game, V6 for NG game, do that and it should work fine.
Thanks, I have specifically renamed the V5 as OldGen and moved it out of the Old Files area, so the OldGen users can more easily find the correct version to use.
Doing a institute minutemen alliance playthrough looking forward to building with this also installed a mod that let's me recruit institute scientist as settlers
for the devoted of us .. who either will NEVER upgrade to Nextgen .. or else who are sworn to the GOTY version of FO4..
if we've diligently promoted, endorsed your mods all this time . . what will HAPPEN regarding your version 6 Nextgen version . . ie., wondering if Clipboard Resurrection patterns i create WITH your version 5 will be able to be copied and pasted with someone using version 6 of your mod ??
Yah, the GOTY and GOG versions won’t be updated and I cannot support them (of course).
The stuff made with Clipboard Resurrection with v5 should still work with v6 and NextGen - the only difference IIRC is an extra hand rail and the repack for NextGen players to use this mod.
pssst ? one last update for version 5? howabout a Navyblue, Forestgreen, some sort of deep Burgundy Walls texture, or half a dozen other colors ? sometimes in the most brightest sunshine . . it crosses my mind to have a few color options :) I wouldn't be playing FO4 anymore if it weren't for this mod :) !@!@ hopefully just texture replacer not requiring an esp ?? :)
I mean, the Institute 'likley' had a paint mixing station :) for the lore?
Hope it's okay for me to post here; I'm having trouble posting on Bethesda and Youtube.
I just wanted to post to other Xbox users who installed this mod mid-playthrough before noticing we needed to install Settlement Menu Manager [SMM] first, and whose build menus aren't showing your mod. The following steps fixed a few of my saves.
Please have Workshop Framework (not sure if this is required, but it was suggested by a Youtube comment so I installed it just-in-case) and SMM installed before proceeding. If you're fixing a Survival-difficulty save, you'll also need a mod that lets you make Fullsaves (not just Autosaves) eg. Cheat Terminal.
*If the Institute Build Kit is not installed, skip step 1. 1a. Disable & delete the Institute Build Kit. 1b. Quit directly to the Xbox Dashboard and restart the game.
2a. Load the save you want to fix. 2b. Pop the Settlement Menu Manager Holotape into your Pipboy, select the [Settlement Menu Rescue] option and let it complete. It may take a few moments to finish, but a dialogue box will open to let you know when it's done. 2c. Make a Full Save (not Quick or Auto). If you're playing Survival difficulty you'll need a separate mod that allows this eg. Cheat Terminal. 2d. Quit directly to the Xbox Dashboard and restart the game.
3a. Reinstall & enable the Institute Build Kit. 3b. Quit directly to the Xbox Dashboard and restart the game.
4. Load the Full Save and cross your fingers.
NB. Unfortunately, you'll have to do this for each save/toon that you want to fix ie. saves/toons that you played before realising your mistake.
Please pin this, it worked for me on PC aswell and saved me. Thanks so much for the mod and the solution for forgetting the required settlement menu manager install first.. <3
How do the specimen cages work? They don't require power connections, nor do they have them at all, so how would I hook up a switch to let the specimens out? Only mention in description is that this mod has them and the brahmin cage was made wireless.
If they're functional, wireless makes them way better. But I've built a little "zoo" area in bio-science with the cages leading into a glass enclosure. But currently, I have normal cages because I feel like there's no way to open the specimen cages from this mod?

Have you considered making another one but for brick built objects?

This is why no support for older games is possible.
but a simple texture (color) replacer would be universal across all versions?
