Further Negative comments can be taking elsewhere, If you don't like the fact I added something that is already in the Vanilla game, just to make it easier for players. Then piss off, or get reported and banned. Anymore negative comments and the users will be reported and removed. Bethesda has this in the Vanilla game, you just have to equip each soldier individually, but you can do this. It just takes 100s of hours. What my mod does is eliminates the need to go around and chase down every minuteman and equip them with gear. Now they come with gear on. if you don't like that, and you would rather go chase down all the minuteman to equip them. That is your choice, but it does not give you the right to bash Mod creators, or there work, Just because you simply don't agree with it. The fact remains, that is simply something that is already in the Vanilla Game, and I made it into a mod that makes it easier to do. The reason this mod was created, because after tracking down over 30 minuteman to equip them, I was pretty sick and tired of it, so I went ahead and I added gear to them. I would like to point out, that this changes the spawns of about 2/3 of the minuteman, there will be about 1/3 percentage that will still use the old armor and gear as well. The likely hood of seeing a minuteman in power armor is actually slim, as you have I think a 1/15 chance of the minuteman having power armor to begin with.Furthermore the Minuteman are being trained, and led, by the ONLY REMAINING SOLDIER in the commonwealth, he is from over 200 years ago, and was part of the original army, NO OTHER PERSON ALIVE can say this, so that means he would have intimate knowledge and abilities that he could pass on to the minuteman. Think of that as well.... There is also the fact that the Gunners use Vertibirds... How can a rag tag, none organized group like the gunners have tons of robots, and vertibirds, and everything else... But the minuteman are the only people in the entirety of the wasteland, who supposedly wouldn't know how to use power armor... Listen to what you guys are saying, it makes absolutely no sense. Bethesda history lesson for you guys, cause this isn't the real world, this is Bethesda's world, and the only facts and history that matters, is theirs, and all you crying over this mod obv need to invest some more time into the game.

Please don't get discouraged by the haters. A lot of people don't appreciate the time and effort that goes into mods, and frankly I think it's ungrateful and if they don't like it, they can just not download and pass without comment. That's the polite thing to do!

Just wanted to say I appreciate this mod. I don't see at not-lore-friendly at all! If anything, this is more lore friendly than the stupid revolutionary war outfits. Like you can take down a super mutant or raider in that! If the Minutemen are supposed to be restoring the Commonwealth to the original precepts of the USA, they would more likely be dressed in military fatiques as a remnant of the U.S. Army. It bothered me they didn't do this and instead acted like they were morons who didn't know how to defend themselves.

So...thank you. I look forward to future updates. Downloading and endorsing!

Completely agree with you man, ignore anybody giving negative feedback, I'm pretty late to this mod but it's absolutely fantastic! I always wanted the minutemen to feel more like an actual military force and this mod hits it right on the head, thank you for this! And keep up the great work! ^^

Actually this mod is far more appropriate than vanilla. It stretches credulity WAY beyond breaking that the new minutemen would go out patrolling the insanely dangerous world of fallout wearing no defensive armor whatsoever and carrying nothing but a pipe pistol. That is absolutely and stupidly ridiculous. Your mod makes it far more realistic. A settlement would at the very least pool what resources they had to equip any such patrolling minuteman as well as they were able.

Power armor might be stretching it, but only to a point depending upon where you are in the game. Raiders at a certain point start wearing power armor of their own, so it is not unreasonable to think that the Minutemen through Sturge's and the player's contact with the Atom Cats might sometimes even muster the caps for some of them to have power armor.

The ideal mod for me would have been to have a craftable facility that requires a settler to operate. That would be the 'quartermaster', and he would supervise an inventory chest. The player would put gear into the quartermaster chest, and settlers would equip themselves as best they may with the gear they find in the chest. Linked settlements would share quartermaster chests. Gear priority would be any wandering Minuteman patrollers, followed by guards, then scavengers then anyone else. Ideally there would be a special flag to any gear added directly to an NPC by the player that that piece of gear is to never be switched out.

But failing that, this will do.

No idea why people would claim it makes no sense for the Minutemen to use power armor. Other factions in the game certainly do (and there sure seem to be plenty of suits just sitting around out in the wilderness!).

Just wondering if there's any chance you would consider making a version of this that equips the Minutemen in combat armor, army fatigues, and army helmets (maybe with a smattering of combat armor helmets and berets?). I would personally appreciate it, as my former soldier would certainly do all he can to turn this rag tag militia into a reborn Continental Army to defend the Commonwealth from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Hey there BigTalon, gotta question for you. For starters allow me to thank you for all the hard work that goes into putting together a mod like this. That effort is truly appreciated. Now for my question, you stated on the mod description page that you had considered doing minutemen check points. Can you elaborate a little on what you had in mind for this?

Why adding a power armor? Doesn't make any sense.

Because you can already equip them in power armor in the vanilla game... So ya you don't make sense

Power armour is a valuable military asset and there are suits of it laying around un-attended throughout the wasteland. It makes perfect sense that the Minutemen are using it now. They are now an army and no longer just a club of lightly armed historical cos-players. Thanks for the great work Bigtalon

Sturges Garage terminal in Quincy proves that before it fell to the gunners he was working on a power armor project. The two suits he was working on according to his terminal were most likely taken by Tess and Clint later on, as they are the only Gunners with Power Armor in Quincy.

Also Sturges has a good relation with Zeke and the Atom Cats, also all stated in his garage terminal, enough said about how the Minutemen could get power armor. Sturges plus the Wanderer(or General) add up to the Minutemen having Power Armor, it just makes sense.

I don't understand how it doesn't make sense. Even Raiders routinely have power armor frames FFS, vendors sell them, and you can find tons of them just laying around the Commonwealth. Why in the world do you think the MM couldn't martial the resources to obtain and outfit some?

is this just about the patrol?
does the patrol strength tied to any factors? like happier and populous settlements create more powerful patrol?

    Very nice mod! Quite usefull.

I enjoy to see them arrive as backup and they are quite usefull.

The vanilla armor was quite bad for the minuteman.
I was looking for a mod like this for some time.

Can you make it compatible with the mod Faction Field outfits
and make them wear the armor and the beret of the minuteman?
    http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9462/?

    Thx for the mod anyway!
    and continue your's good Work!
