If anyone says this is anti-lore or the sort... just why are there normal sized gnats in a world of giant ants and bloatflies?? Either they're giant, mutated fiends, or they're extinct. This is fallout.
Yeah, you can tolerate this fine evidence that the devs were sniffing glue by pretending the gnats were the young that would grow into the actual bug enemies, but honestly? I really think the devs were sniffing glue.
If you mean the tiny bugs (which the game code identifies as gnats, not mosquitoes or flies) that gather around dead bodies (these tiny fellows are simply corpse-gnats, and aren't targetable in VATS), then yes. This should work across all DLCs and any CC content you might have downloaded, provided nothing overwrites this mod.
If, however, you're looking for something that removes all insect enemies like bloatflies and bloodbugs, then no, this mod doesn't do that.
Sometimes the game doesn't delete corpses for days, even months, of in-game time. But mostly it's a matter of aesthetics. I don't like piles of corpses fouling up my build areas, and most of the time I can't drag them off because they're piles of laser-ash or plasma-goo. And using the console doesn't get rid of the gnats themselves.
Long story short, the mod was made to cover Bethesda's shortcomings, and because I wanted to. ^^

heh
This is really useful, dead body in my game will stay for 3 days, and the buzzing sound around my home drives me crazy. You saved my ass
