Its open source so feel free to edit and publish it. I made it for myself and thought maybe some people would like it aswell. But such a toxic comment from a guy with a Joe Rogan profile picture doesn't bring anything smart to the topic.
I'll do other variants which are maybe more in your gusto. But believe me, it's easy to do :)
Well, don't forget Drummer Boy is supposed to be in disguise. How better to blend in than dressed as Minutemen cannon fodder? Plus, his name would match - i.e. as well as being the alerts guy he even looks like a drummer boy - a Minuteman one! And there's no deep lore about the militia hat - it and the laser musket was mainly about FO4 making them look distinctive from other groups. So they picked a hokey homage to the American War of Indepenence - except they got the hats wrong by 80 years, and forgot about Ronnie Shaw...
This mod is clearly going for a Partisan look, which is fine. Yes, most people mod the Minutemen for the very reason they don't want a hodge-podge civilian look. But I think most of those mods go way too far, turning what should be a people's militia into a proper army. So I strike an in-between look. I already use the padded blue jacket for most of my settler guards, combined with this mod which keeps Minutemen's hats & laser muskets but gives them blue coats & leather armours. Only my guards at the castle are beefed up with a mix of heavier gear (metal helmets, sturdy combat chests, etc) over their blue coats. Feels right to me, but it's only a game, and there's no harm in giving gamers the choice to prefer a Partisan look - which is more realistic than all those uber army mods.
This sounds a lot more up my alley than other minute men edits I've seen, the military feel always felt a little alienating for my reason to join the minutemen (normal people who gather together to support eachother) so this really helps that, makes them feel a bit less goofy. Looking forward to downloading when I'm able to!

Just...no.
First thing i do at settlements in general is remove all the goofy hats these people are wearing.
Now you have a mod that adds more...on purpose.
Army fatigues...a patrol cap or Boonie and a service rifle. Now that's simple.

So stop bragging and start modding!
Best wishes.

It's called an opinion. But hey, it's your mod you do what you like.
Nothing wrong with the profile or Joe Rogan. Common...you can do better than that? Yeesh.
I for one am very happy about a non-military MM mod, so thank you UnclePips for making this
1) The militia hat is canonically associated with the Minutemen.
2) Its better for everyone if all of the Minutemen did not dressed the same as Drummer Boy.
