When you remove a mod from a weapon or armor, you get this lil module crate. Which let's you reapply the mod again to same or different item without having to pay the crafting costs again.
This mod simply removes the standard crates one which Free-downgrades makes free. Which reduces a lot of necessary clutter in inventory from building up if downgrading a bunch of weapons.
Anyway to make this compatible with the "snubs" version he uploaded (makes snubnosed barrel on the .44 the free downgrade)? I'm not asking you to upload a file for it, I can try to do this myself in FO4 Edit. However, a hint in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Actually, it's fine. It helped me to gain some experience with the tool in case I need it for the future. If you like, I could send you the file (or at least, try to). Then others would be able to use it as well.
You say it only works with Stub version of Free Weapon Downgrades. Does that include the Free Weapon Downgrades v1.20 (no profits) optional file Lapdragon has or just the straight Free Weapons Downgrades v1.2 (stub barrels)?
Yeah. I set only the stubs only version as a master. This mod makes the no profits one a bit pointless to use anyways. As you wont generate any more standard crates to sell once you install my mod.
It will completely prevent further generation of new standard crates. Only change to any existing crates simply had it's name changed with a [Trash] tag in front of name, to indicate that it's vendor trash.
I am working on a second mod that restores the amount scrap amount, when scraping unmodded weapons. It's not perfect, as it has the "downside" of giving slightly higher scrap amount for modded weapons. I should have it up later today.

v1.1 Added support for .44 snubby version for Free Weapon Downgrades. And a FOMOD installer that lets you pick which version to install.

When actually enabling the 1.1 version it does not actually require it (which is good).
This mod makes the no profits one a bit pointless to use anyways. As you wont generate any more standard crates to sell once you install my mod.
