It might be just me, but I can barely seem to highlight it after placing it down when I tried to move it. This applies both to 'natural' ground and the shack floors. The latter is troublesome as when I do manage to do so, it's usually because I had to crouch and even then it flickers back and forth on the mat and floor like crazy trying to highlight it. Mostly happens with Trader, Armor and Weapon mats.
Also might be me, but while it does work as intended in selling their intended items, apparently they also act/speak as a doctor no matter what store mat it was. (therefore Trader/Doctor, Armorer/Doctor, Etc.)
Who the hell uses Sim settlements anyway? I mean, why even play the game if u use that? Building settlements yourself is 1/2 the fun in this game. I will never understand why anyone uses it. NUTS
I love when people hate on mods that they (apparently/probably) haven't even tried. Sim Settlements (2) is such a massive and incredibly designed mod. The voice acting alone is superior to Beth's (well, on par with the SS voice actors). The storyline is incredible, the entire thing dovetails so well into the game's story that it feels like it came with it.
I'll never understand people finding it necessary to "poo poo" a mod. Especially one so complex, from a team of people who are devoted to this game and making it even more enjoyable, namely Kinggath and his team. I'm sorry for ranting but this really struck a nerve, even two years later.
I apologize for my stupidity :) but what role do these mats serve in the game? I use your mod GUARD MATS: it's cool. But everything is clear there: the guard settlers take their posts. What do THESE mats do? They're not for traders, are they? Perhaps the settlers just stand on the mats if they are placed near the shops? Well, as buyers.
If you craft the default trader store option, you get a s#*! looking counter for your assigned gunsmith to sell weapons from. With these mats you can make anything into a weapon (or armor, clinic, etc) store, and your settler will sell from there.
Finally, Two Up to date Mat Mods about Shops and Guard Posts. Color me impressed, can't thank you enough for it.
I would like to suggest the idea of making an Animation Mat mod that simply plays general animations wherever you place them since those kinda mods are either rare or old, but thats if you still feel like it of course, either way I am happy with this.
I recently reinstalled F04 and when I seen this and your Guard mat mod I had to pinch myself!!! When game 1st came out this was a dream I had (THESE MATS!!!!!!!) So very nice to know u had same dream and actually made it happen!!!!!!! I'm still a lil shocked Bethesda didn't include this in base game-THANK YOU so much for making & sharing this/these w/us!!!!!!!!!Endorsed!!!!!!BTW, another dream I had was being able to build those gunner bridge elevators (to use at the 2 bridge settlements)-Any chance u had that dream also????
Been playing with the mod loaded for several hours and the shops work great, but I have yet to see a caravan visit the Trade Caravan Post marker... has anyone else seen that actually work?
Hey bro! This works. Question, most of my traders use counters. The ones found with Homemaker and the likes. So them standing a little far from the counters are a bit off specially if the counters are inside a window teller type..... Is it possible for a mat type (counter top) replacement for tier 3 cashiers (so no cashiers blocking their beautiful looks and at the same time putting mats under counters are a PITA specially if it's in a different direction)? With counter type animation, arrows and dissappears also when exiting workshop. That'd be great!!! :D
Edit: even if it is narrower than usual mat like half to make it universal just for vanilla type of counters. Thanks!
haha bro! Thanks so much but I do that too. Please don't get me wrong. My comment was more of a suggestion of some specific ME wants only spoken or typed out loud ahaha. Because I haven't come across with that type yet. Love what you guys do and keep em up! :D
My mats do not use a furniture animation for various reasons.
One thing to consider thus: When using a furniture animation (like the regular stores do), the actor actually enters the furniture and any and all collision with the furniture is disabled for the actor. The actor could stand or sit right in the middle of the furniture, without a care. However, when not entering a furniture, this is not the case. In these cases, the actors can only walk up to or stand as near to any object (the counters, in your case) as that object's collision and object bounds allow for.
I have already considered adding furniture anim based mats, but have rejected the idea. The reasoning is that a) the vanilla store animation where the actor wipes the counter fits one particular counter size/height only and looks ridiculous when used with any other counter/table/desk whatever and b) it looks even more ridiculous if the actor has been rescaled (or is a child settler), while the scaletoone keyword that makes any actor use scale 1.0 looks ridiculous as well - especially for child settlers. I did not want to choose between the lesser of two evils, so discarded the notion of using furniture anims.
Maybe I might reconsider and use something like the ClipboardWithPen animation, altho I personally find it looks sort of silly as well.
Thanks bro. I understand. Only that I place mats/counters/cash registers depending on the type of store (I usually have different types in one settlement) so yours definitely has its use. But if later on you decide to do something like those with Homemaker but with Arrows, I won't stop you :D :D :D

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Cool mod(s) and thanks btw.
Also glad if you hit the endorse button then :D

As for the second one, a bug on Sim Settlements 2 side.

is there/will there be a version of this and Guard Mats on Xbox & play station?
Enjoy!

It's explained on the Guard Mat mod page; Check the "Additional Info" section :)
