If anyone is using these presets along with bodyslide, know that some of the presets have different body sliders than the vanilla default. So the body that you build in bodyslide might look different than in game.
To fix this, just open the .json file of your choice in a text editor, and delete the BodyMorphs section at the top of the text file.
Also worth noting that the body weight triangle in some of the presets is different the default vanilla. You can edit the weight value in the .json file at the bottom by changing it to: 0.3314000070095062, 0.3873000144958496, 0.2813999950885773
Or you can edit it in game
Hope this helps someone, it was giving me a massive headache trying to figure out why my bodyslide values weren't translating to my in game character when using one of these presets.
Yeah, I can't imagine the mod author would be entirely happy with Nexus still keeping the mods on the site. At the same time, I'm happy to have found the mod so many years after the game's release, these presets are all really nice to look at and probably the best ones I've found on the site. I can touch up a default face, but making a new face takes me way too long, and I'll gladly settle for plug-and-play (so says an average mod user with 270+ mods).
I like these a lot, but I noticed it seems to do something to the bodyslide, is that part of the preset? No matter what I set the body to on the weight scale in looksmenu it seems to make the hips sort of comically large (for the one I tested) on my default cbbe preset. Does this also touch the bodyslide and is there a way to remove that?
oh man, idk anything about that honestly i'm really sorry, i never ever use bodyslide mods for fallout4, so they're definetly not supposed to mess with the body at all, the body is meant to be vanilla, i wish i could help you on this but i'm really not smart at all when it comes to figuring out technical issues, maybe try disabling cbbe to test if they work without that mod on? i usually disable mods to test for conflicts or if i have an issue to see if it works on or off
i just tested them in my game and mine looks like this was also able to edit the vanilla body just fine, 1 of my other presets in this pack her hips looked like this ?, idk if that's big? i tried editing hers to make her skinnier and it looks like this
edit- wait i'm dumb, that's the one you're talking about right?
omg i can't believe i fixed it, if F8 is the preset you're talking about with the wide hips, i know how to fix it for you! let me know if this fixes it for you cause it did for me: Go to where the f8. json file is in your presets folder, double click it, then find where it says 'Values' which will be directly under something that goes like this "274F" : [ whatever numbers it shows in these brackets ] underneath that line replace the values with this: }, "Values" : [ 0.5099999904632568, 0.3899999856948853, -0.8600000143051147, 0.1800000071525574, -0.1500000059604645
hahaha thanks for all the replies, I'll try it out! I don't remember exactly what preset it was but yeah it was up there like f8 or f9 so I'll take a look again. I was just spending the day cleaning dust out of my pc so maybe I'll try tonight
no problem, please do let me know if it fixes it for you because man that was a rollercoaster for me to see what the issue was, really happy i found a fix! hopefully it does the same for you
lol sorry to cause you so much stress! but I think it worked. I made sure to test all of them too while I had looks menu zoomed out on the body, and they all seem fairly consistent now. Funny that f8 was the one I liked the most and it just so happened to be the one with the issue that I reported lmao
thank you though! good work. I'll work on sculpting from the new f8 preset now :)
I'm terribly sorry for this inconvenience for you. I wish i knew how to help you on this but i've never heard of someone having ctds with presets, maybe there's a forum somewhere about it? maybe one of the mods you have conflict with female neck tweaks? just a thought i actually have no clue i'm sorry i can't be of much help
I pretty much dislike using hair/skin mods to create nice faces in games like FO4 when there are these examples that you can make a really nice face with vanilla looks/skin/hair.
Your 10 male presets are also very good so I waited and wondered if you would make female presets and you did. Good work!
Thank you very much, i really appreciate that! and i completely agree with you about not needing hair/skin mods, i've come to not like them much either, unless the hair mod matches vanilla then i'm all for it
Works like a charm. This really needs more exposure so people can see it and use it. Thank you so much from a guy who never make a decent character on fallout. Have a great day and be safe!
The fact that not only are all of these presets so unique and different from other presets I've seen on nexus but they use vanilla hair, vanilla face textures and eyes that I can switch out with any eye mod I want without messing up the presets is incredible, every preset mod out there usually has some annoying over the top requirements that I just don't feel like downloading just to use their preset, so I really appreciate the simplicity in your mod and how you still made it all look so good!

To fix this, just open the .json file of your choice in a text editor, and delete the BodyMorphs section at the top of the text file.
So before it might look like this:
{
"BodyMorphs" : {
"Arms" : 1,
"BreastCenter" : 0.08869241923093796,
"ChubbyButt" : 1,

"Fallout4.esm|0CFB3F",

And after you delete BodyMorphs your text file should look like this:
{

"HeadParts" : [
"KSHairdos.esp|0008AB",

Go to where the f8. json file is in your presets folder, double click it, then find where it says 'Values' which will be directly under something that goes like this "274F" : [ whatever numbers it shows in these brackets ]
underneath that line replace the values with this:
},
"Values" : [
0.5099999904632568,
0.3899999856948853,
-0.8600000143051147,
0.1800000071525574,
-0.1500000059604645
copy that entire thing, then save, it should be fixed now! here's an example of the area i'm talking about
also make sure when you get in game, rechoose that preset so it loads the new values
thank you though! good work. I'll work on sculpting from the new f8 preset now :)
