Kind of a long shot but any chance of an optional file to restore the original nixie-style numbers for HoloHUD? I tried doing it myself but could *not* find the original texture in the game's ba2 files.
No need, just delete the appropriate texture file. HoloHUD uses a different texture than the default, and both files are included in the archive. Delete the one that you don't want or need to use.
That was the first thing I tried actually, it looks like it only has the new number textures included (PANumbers01_d.dds). I deleted those before installing but that just caused purple blocks to appear instead of the old numbers.
Apologies if I'm missing something obvious. This is my first dive into modding and, despite all the research I did, odds are I'm asking about something so simple I'll cringe thinking about this a couple months from now lmao.
Okay, see here's the thing. One of the filenames correspond to the basegame number texture in the PA HUD. HoloHUD uses a different filename as I believe it was a 76 model port, I think?
If you want the originals, don't install my mod, as that's all it changes. The HUD dial textures shown in my screenshots are from another mod.
Yeah, HoloHUD was a 76 port which jumbled up the file structures a bit. Like literally just enough to invalidate all the old texture locations lol.
Ahhh got it, I was referring to the file structure of the original HoloHUD mod, not yours originally that's my bad. I really like the calculator numbers you made but I have a soft spot for the original nixie ones. The 76 file structure makes it hard to restore them as I need to extract the original vanilla texture to overwrite it, but I wasn't able to locate it - only the power armor dashboard dds'. This very simple process has taken me nearly an hour only to result in total failure lmao.

If you are using a panel replacer in that color, mind linking it so I can color sample?
