I think it’s a cool idea for a mod but should definitely leave some guns for immersive realism, like in any post apocalyptic scenario some ppl still carry guns but mostly they’re scarce also leaves a bit of surprise to never know when you’ll encounter an armed person while still being better than literally everyone carrying a gun
Thanks for the great mod! Thanks to you, I have decided to remove the LEVELD LIST from all the weapon mods I use. I had been worried about this decision for several years.
I'm currently experiencing an issue where enemies still spawn with their weapons (I specifically saw the raiders in and out of the museum of freedom with pipe weapons), I started a new game and tried switching to the esl version. If anybody has a list of incompatible mods they know of, then that would be good. I've now tried putting the plugin at the bottom of the load order and I think that more characters had melee than in my other save files (I don't remember anytime that trashcan Carla or Wolfgang had melee) but other npcs had guns
This is quite interesting from the standpoint of starting a new play-through. Up close and personal!
I think there eventually should be an option that only affects low level characters. So when you start a new game, the npc's you encounter while you are level 1-7 have only have melee weapons. Super Mutant should never have (or rarely)access to ranged weapons Imho.
My dream mod would be fully customizable weapon table tool with drop-down menu or something similar so you can create custom weapon list for encounters, then export them at will.
Actually pretty realistic if BoS, gunners, and Institute still used ranged weapons. I can try using xedit. Normal people shouldn't have as much access as they do in the game considering the lack of proper weapons manufacture. The thought of dumb supermutants constructing rifles from pipes and wood is pretty immersion breaking to say the least. So the use of lore friendly melee weapons is a very nice touch thank you.
