Mkay... I don't like it. It's looks really good, but navigating with it, is a bit tedious. When I get it zoomed out to where I like it, the icons are too small (using large icons). When I get it where the icons are good sized, it becomes annoying moving the map around. Having to get another mod and adjust ini settings on top of that, makes it not worth it. I'll just go back to using my normal map with smaller icons. Thanks.
I'll have to consider this on a future playthrough, unfortunately I can't currently install it now as right now I'm using the Improved Map with Visible Roads mod and they'd likely clash.
so u have redrawn the grey scale map.... in grey scale monochrome.. so instead of 8 pixel grey scale monochrome.. its now upscale 8000 pixel grey scale monochrome..
u do realize.. there is literally 0% difference low scale and high scale monochrome..
Uhm. @EndurableMaster What kind of "expert" are you that you post such utter nonsense?

'cause you clearly don't know the difference between resolution and colour (or here: grey scale) intensity. Both maps might be grey scale with 8 bit colour depth (or 16 bit, I haven't checked them—so let's say it's 8 bit). But this one has a way higher resolution.
If you don't believe me: Pick a random grey scale image of your liking. Resize it, so it's dimensions are 1/10th of the original. Then compare the images. Both still are 8bit grey scale, but the quality is quite different. Unless you look at the image on a potato system with 640x480px resolution. Then, of course, the difference is quite marginal.
If you can't see any difference in any case, I'd suggest visiting a good eye doctor is due....
I was just looking at the vanilla map a couple days ago wondering if anyone was going to retexture it at some point, and here it is! If I may though, is this possible with the Far Harbor and Nuka-World maps as well? I am aware that there may be issues with icon sizing, but that would be fairly minor cost to replacing the super low-res maps with something much nicer in my opinion.

?version for Far Harbor
Might be a bit later

The point is, this looks much better than the default map ... mission successful.
