Is this mod merged into one of the Frost update mods (Frost Official Updates, Frost Plus, etc.)?
I'm asking because automatic load order checking tool in the Below Zero Frost guide indicates that this mod is incompatible with Frost. I'm not sure why that would be the case other than this mod's functions being superseded and just not being documented in the incompatible or merged lists found under Frost Official Updates Redux.
I really like that you've added gloves to many clothes (although some outfits still need them, and a bit more gloves variation would be nice), but there are some things that I don't understand.
You removed the changes from the Athletic Outfit that Frost made. Why? Naugrim changed it so more armor parts can be worn together with it.
Umpire pads are basically just a dirty edit, they are not changed in any way. Cage armor too, and probably some others as well. I would recommend to remove these dirty edits, F4Edit has some cleaning functions for this kind of stuff.
You reduced the weight of the Army Fatigues. This is not a good idea, as they are really good underarmor that increase strenght and agility. It is a bit weird to further buff them by reducing their weight. 1lb can be a lot in FROST.
I think that you should mention in your description that you made some changes to a few resistance values of certain armor parts, like the welding helmet or the militia hat.
I would recommend to merge some armor/clothing changes from the unofficial FROST updates with your mod. the recent updates edited a few armors and clothes.
I would also like to make a mod that copies the clothing changes that you've made, mainly the gloves that you've added. I would also credit you of course, and provide links to your mods. Is this okay?
I would maybe remove change the name that you gave the CoA marine armor. In FROST on the Island, there is a ghoul which wears the CoA marine armor, and this NPC is probably not a "Rad worshipper". It might confuse people if they find this NPC, and they might think that this NPC worships radiation even if this is not the case.
Oh and you should probably mention that you change certain NPCs to rabbits.
You removed the changes from the Athletic Outfit that Frost made. Why? Naugrim changed it so more armor parts can be worn together with it. --> iirc it's clipping badly with armor pieces (like the surveyor outfit that was made into an underarmor ... but I had to leave this one as is though).
Umpire pads are basically just a dirty edit, they are not changed in any way. Cage armor too --> good points, I'll do some more cleanup for the next update
You reduced the weight of the Army Fatigues. --> iirc, the previous weight made no sense compared to its insulation value (the two are not technically related, except for immersion purposes). With nuclear winter, they are not such a good armor any more as they provide very limited warmth, the +1str doesn't compensate for the cold.
I would recommend to merge some armor/clothing changes from the unofficial FROST updates with your mod. --> I'll look into it if/when I do a version requiring both the update and frost plus.
I would also like to make a mod that copies the clothing changes that you've made, mainly the gloves that you've added. I would also credit you of course, and provide links to your mods. Is this okay? --> No problem, I'll take all the credit I can get, because looking for and matching all the gloves to the outfits was a massive pain in the butt. :) --> edit: about the gloves, some outfits don't have them because each armor addons seems to be added to the insulation value from nuclear winter. So, if your mod is meant to be used with it you should keep that in mind.
this NPC is probably not a "Rad worshipper" --> well the COA do actually worship radiations and their art does reflect that pretty well so a dude wearing it doesn't strike me as odd.
well the COA do actually worship radiations and their art does reflect that pretty well so a dude wearing it doesn't strike me as odd. --> Well the problem with that is that the CoA don't exist in FROST. The CoA starts around 180 years later in the wasteland around Washington DC, and they then spread to the Commonwealth, and then to The Island. During FROST of course some rad worshippers exist, and the name of the armors and outfits make sense, the problem is that this particular NPC that has this armor on the Island doesn isn't a rad worshipper, as this NPC has some journal entries that don't indicate at all that he wirships rads, it strongly suggest that he doesn't give radiation any supernatural properties. The NPC has the baseid of Erickson from the vanilla Far Harbor DLC. I would like you to change his outfit so that he only wears normal marine armor. This is just a small request though
Thank you for the permission to adapt the outfit changes! Is it possible that I can use your synth outfit retexture too? It is really a nice idea to recycle it this way.
I would also like, and I am sure that I am not alone with this request, an optional plugin to delevel the outfits. I could help you to tweak them accordingly.
Cool (no pun intended)! So this replaces the earlier patch by Minotaur21 or should go along with it? Because I see you didn't do anything with Winter_WarmLocations or FROST's weathers.
I used Minotaur's mod as a base for this one (with their permission) so you only need one patch.
With that said, I admit that I haven't double checked those two particular aspects (they seemed fine at first glance) but if you notice any weather or location that are not included, don't hesitate to let me know.
I have a request. I've noticed that your mod doesn't have Frost Plus as a requirement. You should offer a patch for it, as Frost Plus is a must have in 2021, and it adds new armor/clothes that probably need a patch for NW. Did you also check that your mod doesn't overwrite/revert changes that the Unofficial Frost Updates made?
"It updates the levelled lists for the outfits of all factions. (This makes it so that the basic survivors should now look more like actual civilians (rather than raiders) and will have better loot/gear as you level up.)" - NO! Please don't do this. A core mechanic of FROST is that everything is de-levelled. You are adding leveleld mechanics back to frost, which is a bad thing :D If you want to do this, please do it as an optional patch!
You are also editing certain vegetables and fruits for immersion reasons, but I don't think that this should belong into your mod, especially because it isn't really mentioned in your mod description.
I've noticed that you don't adapt changes from the unofficial FROST updates, like for the Tunnelman's Armor.
You also add a water filter crafting recipe. That is exactly what the unofficial frost updates also do...
I am also unsure why you've added the mechanic to craft certain weapons like the railway rifle or the syringer. This doesn't seem to fit in a mod that is a patch for nuclear winter.
I can't really recommend your mod until you adress these questions/issues. Would you midn joining the frost discord, we ahve a development team there for FROST. I would suggest that you split this mod into multiple parts. I have a mod that renames Tatos to Tomatos etc., it could be merged with your vegetable changes and you can upload it as a seperate .esl flagged .esp? Or your crafting ideas could be also be put into a seperate mod or merged with another frost related mod?

Edit: I checked in FO4Edit, Is it intended?
I'll restore it on the next update. thanks.

Guess I should sleep more.
