Tip: incompatibility with Weapons overhaul aio (white textures):
First and most importantly, load makeshiftextures after weapons overhaul.
Try removing the material swaps associated to the Pipe_mat object modifications. This should work but the system is quite complex so I might be missing something. Another way to check is by using the rusty material in game, it references the vanilla material and, if my mod is lower in the load order, it should use my retexture correctly.
Last tip - always make these changes in a separate plugin/patch, so you can update the mods when they come out and not lose your changes. It also allows you to release the patch if you want to.
I don't use Weapon overhauls but I still get this bug, and the weird part is it only happened recently, I don't recall adding any new mods, only updating some of them

If you have the White Texture bug check whether you have FO4 - Texture optimization project installed. If you do have it remove the Handmade folder inside the mod folder. Should sort it out
Anyone try this with the Attachment Pack? Wondering how well, if at all, they work together. Seems like it would be a lovely combination if they did.
Edit: Tried it. Seems to work wonderfully. Also seems like the mod author of The Attachment Pack actually uses this with it, at least they seemed to be doing so in the video they made of the pipe weapon attachment additions.
Hey gmoi6, not sure if you’re still active on here but I was wondering if you could possibly upload your FH 45-70 ammo fix to Bethesda.net? If you don’t have the time, and you don’t mind, could you at least give open permissions on your mod page so one of us could port the patch ourselves? Many of us highly enjoy your retextures and we’d love to be able to fix this minor issue if possible. Thank you.
Apologies for this, I never got round to publishing the patch on beth.net. You are hereby granted the permission to upload the 45-70 ammo patch to beth.net. Cheers,
Thank you very much sir. One more minor favor. Can you change the permissions for console porting to open on the mod page? If it doesn’t say specifically someone else is allowed to port Bethesda won’t allow it anymore.
This looks great, but...I'm getting big a performance hit with my RX570?? With the 2K textures? Like just zooming in with a scope gives a noticable fps drop. I'm not even using any texture mods, so it's probably not a vram issue? Maybe it's related to the CHW mod, but I have no clue.
This mod causes a texture glitch with the .45-70 ammo from Far Harbor. I noticed that when I had this mod enabled, the bullets in the cartridge sleeve on the Lever Action Rifle's marksman stock turned grey and had their textures on the end of the shells messed up. I disabled the mod, and the textures were fixed.
Think you could look into this? I've had to disable this mod to fix it. BTW I'm not using any of the Weapon Overhaul mods... I am using Crafting Framework, though. (I'm playing on Xbox, BTW)
