Hey! just want to start by saying AMAZING work. it is so refreshing to not listen to the same old UI noises.
I just have one small issue, Is there any way to turn the volume down? Sometimes the menu sounds are 10x louder than the rest of the game. I've tried to turn down the effects volume in settings but that lowers all effect noises and not just the menu ones.
It can be tweaked in a progam called Audacity but I'll see if I can adress the issue at some point, I've been quite busy lately so I can't give a time frame but it will be done.
Hello there! as a Hardcore Classic Horror fan growing up playing RE, Dino Crisis and Silent Hill I have to say I like this mod very much! So I was wondering. Do you think you could improve the mod? for example adding a replacer for the menu soundtrack, not just the UI but the theme too! putting maybe a track from RE 2 or 3 like RE 2 Prologue or Raccoon City and then going further and replacing the ambient music! I despise Fo4 ambient music specially when in settlements crafting stuff, the ambient musics are so bad I have to keep the radio on listening to that annoying Travis who can't be compared at all to 3dog so it would be interesting to have RE OSTs for ambient musics like a calm place like the settlements could be sherry's theme or a save room or leon with claire theme or Ada's Theme or something from RE3! even for the menu RE3 could be used; the beginning of the nightmare theme for example. Also replacing combat themes with OSTs from those games like don't come any closer from RE3 or escape from laboratory in RE2 or "T" -A and maybe Nemesis theme! for exploring subway stations in fallout a perfect ambient sound could be the basement of police station theme! haha... I like the UI sounds but with ambient music replacement it would give the necessary boost for the mod I think! Oh and maybe replacing the ghouls sounds for the zombies of RE could go perfect with mods like zombie walker and more feral ghouls!
Also seeing this mod makes me wish for a silent hill themed sound replacer! It would be a perfect match for when deciding to play the whispering hills mod and Grim. I could already the the main menu playing Laura plays the piano or Promise (reprise) or the main theme of SH1! and something like magdalene playing in the settlements. but of Course a silent hill themed would be a bit harder to do since most of the OST is perfect as they were composed by Akira Yamaoka. Anyway Keep up the good work!!!
I could certainly look into it but I'm by no means an expert at modding or anything, just for fun, so I can certainly tackle it at some point. As for the Silent Hill version I'd totally be up for doing that but one Silent Hill replacer got taken down not long ago on Nexus so I fear Konami doesn't want people utilising their assets.
For the ambient music, you can easily do that yourself. I ended up replacing all the exploration, dungeon, and combat tracks by simply downloading the mp3 of various RE music, renaming them to the files in your FO4 sounds folder, and converting them to xwms.
Ofc this is for personal use because all those tracks would have licenses and stuff like that.
@darklightsjester damn shame on Konami... @LilQuin sounds easier than done I guess hence why I would prefer to leave the task for someone already with a related mod. Plus with a mod covering everything if @darklightsjester would do it than a lot more RE fans would enjoy it at once... Just my thoughts tho...
Fantastic mod friend! is there anyway you can tell me which file i need to delete to remove the zombie moan when i press x while im not looking at anything? its the only thing killing me vibe right now
Of course! I believe fallout 4 is a great horror game with a few minor tweaks to things so adding this mod just brings me back to the RE2 days, thanks alot!!!!!
I don't think so, while I haven't checked with this mod it's not triggering in my Alien UI mod so I can assume the same is happening here. Strange but it seems to be a issue for anyone trying to replace those it seems lol

Really like the mod, but as it is now its unusable for me. Especially the start menu popping up seems to be extremly loud
