hey my looks menu doesn't have the preset option, its not greyed out it just gone, anyone know how to fix that? i have everything installed and updated too :/
Vortex may have installed in the Data folder. Look for the Ginger json file in the data folder and copy and paste it into the data/f4se/plugins/f4ee/preset folder.
Please pardon my ignorance! Is this just a face preset or is there a body as well? In either case, she looks like the lady I would love to follow around for my next 1,000 hours of play through! Thank you for sharing her.
I have CBBE installed. Your comment implies that I would not be able to use this preset. Most unfortunate for me. It's still a beautiful preset, though.
@peytonmc00 This is a face preset that requires LooksMenu. It has nothing to do with CBBE. You can use it with or without CBBE installed as long as you have the required mods listed under "Description" (to get that look in the screenshots).
DjinKiller, I am confulsed between two posts. Shadowofgrim earlier posted on 01 October "This preset is for Looksmen, meaning it's Face and Body." You are telling me "This is a face preset." I understand that presets are for Looksmenu. I have that installed and have used it with mixed results. I usually wind up with a character whose neck is at least a foot long, but I was hoping to give it a try, as this is such a fine looking face. It was the body that I am confused about. Can I install just the face? Would this preset include a body and is its use precluded by CBBE as a body style? If there is a body included, would not using that included body cause the extremely long neck issue. Thank you to you and everyone who is trying to work me through this concern!
@peytonmc00 I think that we all, to some degree, are guilty of using the word "preset" rather loosely. (English is not my first language so I apologize if I screw this one up :) )
This mod, is a single file (.json file) that is a configuration file that LooksMenu reads. It contains a lot of information, like shape of the face, what hair to use, tattoos etc (given that you have to mods used in this config file installed). Example: This mod requires MiscHair, if I use this preset and don't have that mod installed, LM will just substitute the hair with the default.(LM is a very cool mod).
CBBE, and CBBE mods like JosieBody, changes the fundamental shape of the body, and any outfits you choose to build (using BodySlide). This is done with "mesh" files (.NIF), and some other black magic (I'm no modder).
Now, in LM you can to some degree, change the look of the body (B) Body) by moving the square dot around within the triangle. But this is only skin deep. It can't override the "mesh". So, if I use the JosieBody (nude), changes the look of the body in LM, and then put on an outfit built with f.ex some slim body type, the outfit will override both JosieBody and any changes in LM.
I've never seen LM, or any LM (face) presets, messing up the neck length, but ymmv.
So, this is a face preset. And, to some degree a "body preset" because whatever placement the modder used in the body triangle (when saving the preset/.json file in LM) will show when you apply the preset and look at your avatar naked.
But, it does not override the fundamental structure of CBBE or any body mods based on CBBE. If you don't like the look of the body, use LM, place the square dot in the middle of the triangle, and save it.
I hope this helps, and hopefully someone will hit me on my head if this explanation is nonsense. (...sorry for the wall of text).
THANK YOU for the wall of text!!! I believe I can give this preset a try on my next run through. Your patience and willingness to explain the mysteries of presets to a person who does not understand the arcane mechanics of modding is much appreciated! If nothing else, I will learn some interesting things from the attempt. Back up the system files, save early and save often...
Haven't tested this, but you should be able to if you type 'showlooksmenu player 1' into the console. This will bring up the appearance-changing screen like the one at the start of the game, where you will be able to choose the preset through looksmenu. Keep in mind that this will not work in survival, as you cannot use the console in that difficulty.

If you're referring to a body preset for CBBE, no, that's not included. CBBE uses .xml files to store slider values.
