and now you can be a company of heroes stormtroopers unit that says we're stormtroopers not a bunch of magicians and then proceed spam throw 20 gernades
I’m having trouble getting the mod to work. I have it enabled in Vortex but the grenades aren’t showing up in the chemistry station or even in the console. Edit: never mind just had to rearrange few mods
I recommend using Mod Organizer 2. I've never been able to get anything to work properly with Vortex. Plus, Mo2 uses a Virtual File System instead of transferring the mods to the game directly so, you won't use as much space on your Drive
Interesting. I wonder if the mechanics/explosive properties are much different though? Common wisdom is that the German stick grenade could be thrown further but the WW1 British Mills Bomb (upon which all modern "pineapple-with-a-pin" grenades are modelled) was more explosive. However, that's not quite correct. Turns out the stick grenade was simply easier for a raw recruit to throw, but the Mills could be thrown just as far in the right hands. German High Command claimed Tommy was only able to throw the Mills a long way because of the Brits' game of cricket! And the stick actually had a similar explosive power but simply lacked the deadly fragmentation properties of the Mills Bomb. There was another factor - carrying - sticks took up a lot more room. And later another factor in favour of the pineapple design - grenade launchers.
Thus, ultimately, the British Mills Bomb became the prototype for modern grenades. There was a property the stick element had which in some circumstances was an advantage - mainly that it didn't bounce or roll as much - which made it easier to direct where the grenade would end up. However, sometimes you want a grenade to bounce and go around corners etc. So again, it arguably falls down to raw recruits vs seasoned professionals. The stick did have the benefit (if you were brave enough) of being easier to stick into enemy vehicle tracks without losing your hand, but the Mills was easier to drop into vents and down pipes etc.
While the stick form of grenades takes up alot of space as it has a handlebar attached to it which becomes redundant when the nade explodes, it has two effects that the conventional round grenades lacked. One is that with that handle, it's easier to throw like you said and it also made it less likely to roll out of place as, well, it's not spherical in shape thus once it's released from the hand, it doesn't roll away from the nade's impact point as much as a normal, conventional round grenade like the Mills bomb and the Mk 2 Pineapple the Western Allies were using during WWII. Also, the wooden grip when detonated would act as another form of splinter towards your intended target. It might seem not significant enough but any shrapnel that can cause grieve to your enemy be it big or small is an added bonus.
Then you have the conventional nades where without the stock, it meant that, as you said, that one can carry way more. Also, without the stick, it also meant that without anything obstructing, they can squeeze in more powder, more shrapnel into a spherical grenade thus giving you more bang for your buck and thus at that point, accuracy isn't as important as more powder and more shrapnel = higher potential to wound/kill someone in that radius even if it din't land right at the enemy's feet.
So both nades have its usage and the stick grenade never got out of fashion as the Soviets were even using it right into the 60s.
They basically don't count in the 255 plugin limit so you can have more than 255 plugins.
Like me, I have 199 regular ESPs and ESMs combined and 213 ESLs and ESL-flagged ESPs, for a total of 412 plugins, which is way over the 255 plugin limit.
Wrye Bash has automatic identification which ESP can be flagged as ESL. Easy and convenient. However, Wrye Bash doesn't identify your mod as ready to be ESL-ified. It might need FO4Edit or creationkit to do it. I don't really mess around with those 2 programs tho so I didn't ESL-ify your mod in my mod manager.
Yeah, I guess it is fine though. It's not like I am at the plugin limit yet. I installed your mod and I am planning to use it with a pre-war veteran build, using mainly WW2 weapons. Thanks for this mod.

I can ESL-ify it myself using Wrye Bash but others may not know how.
