    The esl version does not work, I tried the esp and it works fine. Use the esl version, with LarannKiar Recruitment Mods All-In-One Archive Pack something must be missing that causes problems to complete the recruitment.

    confirmed, esl version is not working, I tested it without the LarannKiar Recruitment And it does not work, The quest is bugged when sending Virgil to a settlement.

      If the .esl version of the mod doesn't work, only the .esp then you probably have a conflicting mod. .esp files are loaded after all .esm and .esl files by the engine. You can take a look at your mods in FO4Edit to see if there's any visible record conflict.

      i think i found the culprit, do you have Eli's armor compedium installed? If so it may have caused a bug due to altering his initial fatigues wehn transformed to his human self, it happened on my end too as soon as I installed said mod, before installation it worked just fine, so it might be it

    Thank you for update v1.3.  That fixed the auto talk whenever Virgil is near.  Also fixed where he stays on one part of the settlement only.  For me he likes the caravan post.  Now he works on his chem lab most of the time.  Endorsed!

    PS Edit:  tried going near him a number of times already, no auto lines firing.  He works on his chem station now and if not, is mostly in the vicinity as seen here

      This is sort of unrelated, but do you know why that auto talk when nearby problem was happening? I'm having a similar issue with Curie. I thought removing her from the settlement she was in had fixed it, but then I was in Jamaica Plain with her following me and it happened once more. It was really weird since that was the only time it had happened outside of the original settlement, I had been in Jamaica Plain for a long time when it happened, and she was a robot when the glitch last occurred but then now a synth in this moment. In my case I had previously assigned her to a clinic, but found that she had no dialogue for actually running it. At some point she unassigned on her own, so I imagine that was the cause of the problem. It just randomly pops up a shopping menu with a weird set of 4 items and anything in her inventory. This problem has been confusing and I can't find anything about it online. :/

      Sorry for the late reply. I think you can disable the idle conversations with the console commands "CQF RecruitVirgil ShutDownConversations", "Set RecruitVirgil_ConversationDisabled_RecentLoad to 1". If you'd like to disable all voice lines, type "StopQuest RecruitVirgil". Make sure to create a hard save before doing so.

    Maybe you can make a Sim Settlements 2 version of your settlers mod? It will require only stat edits
    For example, i want to send Vergil to HQ, he a scientist after all, but... he has 1 intelligence lol

      You know that's super easy to fix in fo4edit, right? Just open this mod in it, select his NPC record on the left pane, scroll to his stats in the right pane, and edit them to whatever makes most sense to you.

    Hi, first of all thanks for the mod.
    I'm having the same problem some others have been having as well. I was able to recruit him to Sanctuary. Through the console I moved him to the settlement and assigned him Virgil's workbench.
    But he stands still with his weapon at the ready and does absolutely nothing.
    SQS RecruitVirgil ...... current stage 15 (12 not set)
    SQS DN053........ current stage 66
    Any suggestions?

      Open the console, click on him and type "SV". What does it display? Any Quests or Aliases?

      First of all, thank you for your reply.
      I type in "sv" and I get a lot of text that I can't copy. I'm not an expert and I'm not sure what to look at or which variable to look at, could you tell me something more specific or which line or variable to look at?

      I've installed the update and Virgil seems to be behaving like any other settler (this was the idea) but despite assigning him Virgil's workbench I can't get him to interact with him. he spends all day wandering around Sanctuary. In my game he's a slacker. 
      I don't know if it's because of the number of times I've played the console before the update.

      Try relocating him in Workshop Mode and store then build a new Chemistry Workbench for him. What console commands did you use on him?

      My thanks for your response.
      Relocated in workshop mode to the Red Rocket truck stop and assigned to a new Virgil chemistry workbench and working 100%.
      The upgrade works perfectly for me. great mod

    hey, im getting problems here, when i get virgil into my settlement, everytime i come close to him, the game automatically talks to him, also he seems lost when i gave him that chem station job cause he is standing on the same spot for a couple of game days now

    I have the same issue as other people, with Virgil's post-MQ dialogue about being distraught by the Institute's destruction causes him to automatically initiate dialogue with the player and exchange items. He also does not leave the cave, and if forcibly brought to a settlement with moveto player and assigned at a station, he starts to pursue the player and heal them again and again, or exchange items ad nauseam.

    Hi! Hate to bother you, but i have the same problem that others have already mentioned. Virgil stays in the cave, if he's near my character automatically initiates trade dialogue etc. I looked at the plugin in fo4edit but everything seems to be OK. I don't use any other mods that would touch him, everything is green and conflict free.( But maybe i'm overlooking something, i'm not too familiar with fo4edit). I'm gonna reinstall the mod i hope someone can find a fix. But every other mod you've made worked perfectly, so thank you!
