Yep. The shapes for the screws there have the wrong material addressed to them in the nif. I fixed it by assigning the correct address.
Using NifSkope:
Open the McC_Trailer_02.nif at meshes\Eaarindo. Look for BSTriShape named RV_Hinge_Screws (mine was number 43). Click the arrow to the left of the BSTriShape listing to reveal the BSLightingShaderProperty and click that. Below, make sure the Block List tab is selecting. You'll see a Name line below. Right click it and select Edit String Index from the pop-up menu and copy this into the field at the bottom of that window: Materials\Earrindo\McC_Trailer_V2/fs_rv_screw.BGSM (be sure to erase whatever is there first). Save the .nif. If the materials and texture files are where they are supposed to be, you should see the change immediately, and they should now appear correctly in-game.
Hopefully the author will update and officially fix it at some point so we don't have to do this XD
I scaled one of these up 500% and made a giant mansion out of it LOL sorry no handy pic. But I wanted to thank you for this mod. I hope to see more prefab structures I can scale up to live in.
though I find it's a bit oversized, but I guess Strong would find it adequate. either way, it's nice to have something better then a shack to put at red rocket and other parking lot settlements.. just need to stack some tires under that front hitch.
I knew going in it would be oversized...I was kind of matching it size wise to those modular "mobile homes" the beige ones you see everywhere. The vanilla camper is where I started, but it was just too cramped for actually, like, decorating and wandering around properly.
An instance of choosing accessibility and enjoyment over "realism" hehe
Looks cozy. Can you make a optional file that's actual retexture for vanilla trailers, inside and outside? I would love to do a trailer settlement but the vanilla trailer textures are too tetanus-ish.
You mean re-do the UVs, interior walls, and floor of the vanilla trailer? No, sorry, I wont be doing that. The mesh is a mess and I am not keen on redoing it all over again. Sorry!
There...are mods that add pre-war trailers? Where?
And unfortunately the vanilla RV mesh is a nightmare. There is no easy way to fix it. What I did is pretty much the only thing to do. The UVs have to be redone nearly from scratch, and honestly it just takes hours. Sorry!
I use Clean and Simple Outpost Zimonja, it adds 9 or 10 clean RVs to that area, which can't be moved. But it seems the mod author removed all her mods from Nexus. It's uses either vanilla or modded assets. You probably can find her mods on beth net under JennCave.
ah, those look like the capsule structures. Not strictly campers or RVs. The RV mesh I used is in the Diamond City meshes, and looks like a busted and broken down camper.
But as I said, I am not interested in redoing the UVs from scratch for the vanilla mesh
I think it's exactly the same trailers the Trailers Park Dreams mod uses. This is pretty much what I'm looking for, tho I don't think they'll exactly replace the vanilla textures.
looking for something similar if anyones come across such a thing, watertight n secure but without the wheels etc as its current massive size is way out of scale imo(you would need a huge lorry to tow it,be better to use interior of the lorry in thar case),and im struggling to place it anywhere useful,it looks silly in most places .
have tried to use it at mm checkpoints but they, the npc mm,wont use it,they attempt to sometimes but seem blocked by something.
sooo... great idea but needs re-scaling to the fo4 world.
I hear what youre saying, but I scaled this to my sensibilities and needs. Youre more than welcome to scale it down with the console or PE, and it can be sunk into the ground to hide the wheels.
If it isnt exactly what youre looking for, you are of course more than welcome to try your own hand at modeling one yourself. I have no intention of going back and redoing the scale or style of it at this point.

Just so you know, Jenn Cave actually has all of her mods on her Discord now.
