This comment has nothing to do with reality! Each build loads the hardware differently. If his heavy assembly flew, but already reached the maximum capabilities of his iron, and then my mod finished it off, then this is his personal case! I played on Radeon R9 280x 3Gb at 45 fps for many years and with this mod I did not notice a drop in fps at all! I'll say it even simpler - if the assembly loads the hardware at 99 percent, and then you put something else to load at 3 percent, then your game can produce 5 fps))

Is there any mod that removes all the blowing leaves effects so I don't see them on my Desperados Overhaul. Obviously not this one.

I couldn't find any, which is weird, because I'm sure they were edited out of the Horizon overhaul mod, 5-6 years ago! Still, no standalone mod for it.

On the plus side, the falling leaves look very real.  On the minus side it rarely occurs and when it does its only a single tree.  Kind of like finding the tree of death in the Garden of Eden.

I lost about 6 FPS with each of these mods either alone or with all the others

    falling leaves
    leaf piles blowing
    Dense Landscape
    A Forest
    Rust Belt

I loose about 30 for landscape mods
that loss is only away from city areas
overgrowth is insane, FPS is reasonable

I am using A Forest 0.7 also running True Storms. For some reason only 1 out of every 50 to 100 trees is generating leaves. It is generating a whole bunch though. Almost looks a little silly. On the upside I am seeing zero performance hit. Your other mod with blowing leaf piles effect seems to work great though.
As far as the predecessor goes. it generates a realistic amount of leaves on every tree but it exaggerates my tree movements so much it was comical, even with the True Storms patch they offered.

EDIT: I tried the less leaves in settlements version. Now everything seems perfect. I don't know if I didn't look around enough before or what but this mod is 100% worth any minuscule loss of fps. The only place I notice 2 or 3 FPS loss is in sanctuary and that location is so overbuilt it will always be choppy from certain angles. This mod combined with your other mod for blowing leaf piles adds the last crucial piece of atmosphere the game was missing. 10/10!
