I love the mod,but for the girls even some sort of a voice add on would do :) ( even if its just fished out some sort of a common character from the game  in general)

On my playthrough I happened upon the scene where a guard is talking to Sheng, it was a female guard and the conversation was one sided.

Thanks for letting me know. I knew there were a few guard conversations that wouldn't work as there is no female voice for them, I'd forgot about the Shen one. Sadly I can't fix it just now, I need to convert the guards lines to a female voice. I've got a program that should be able to do it but haven't had a chance to teach myself it yet as I'm working on other things. I'll be looking at all my old mods again once my current projects are finish.

    Good idea and well done.
I played it for two hours now and it works fine, but.....
Is it possible to make the "Lady-Cops" modifiable?

It depends what you mean by modifiable. When I mentioned an unholy amount of time in the description I meant it. I'll walk you through the problem and hopefully someone with a lot more skill than me will give us both a better answer.
All diamond city guards either come from two characters - one inside, one outside. These characters use templates and level lists that change their appearances. i.e. the face you are seeing in game and trying to modify isn't actually their face. So no to my knowledge it is impossible to modify a level listed character in game and even if you did, it would disappear as soon as the character reloaded itself. So unlike a named NPC you can't simply load up that character and change their looks using looksmenu or the like.

I do apologise for some of the looks. I originally created the faces as character presents and face ripped them to the mod for my own use, but they were very very highly modified by looksmenu compendium and numerous other mods I had running, this mod originally on my system was dependant on other 6 other mods. The people I am trying to port my mods to, once I know they work, use xbox's and some even use PS's which don't allow any outside assets at all, so I had to remove all dependencies hence some characters look a bit odd.

The creation kit is impossible to make a decent looking face on (at least using my computers anyway)

SO here is what you can do

Download face ripper. (It's an amazing tool and thank you for reminding me to add it to my credits)
Start a game as a new character and create a face you like. Then save and exit.
Open FO4 Edit (Another amazing tool I'm sure your familiar with) If not download it from this site and get to know it, it will change the way you mod and play games forever.
Load my mod in Fo4 Edit and Pick the guard you wish to change, so load JSDiamondcityfemaleguards.esp
open non-player character. Look for the name of the guard and find their ID e.g. Officer Brightwell is 1000801
      Exit.
      Run face ripper.
Source is your saved game - Player 7 (I think, it comes up automatically at the top) Faceripper will automatically find your saves for you just pick the right one.
Under Target save in face ripper you will need to search - go to browse and load JSDiamondcityfemaleguards.esp from your fallout 4 data folder.
Put in the ID of the officer you wish to change (Eg as above 1000801 for Brightwell)
      Transfer face
In your fallout data folder you will now have a new esp called JSDiamondcityfemaleguards.esp1000801. Delete the old esp JSDiamondcityfemaleguards.esp
and then rename the new esp to JSDiamondcityfemaleguards.esp (ie delete the number)

Congratulations your new edited face will have replaced the old one. Every time the game randomly selects Brightwell to be the guard they will look just how you made them.

If you do improve the look of some of the characters I have completely open rights on this mod pop me in your credits and you can publish it yourself. (Although our mods will conflict if I release an update on the voices)
Alternatively you could send me the updated esp and I'll put it up here and add you to the credits.
I'm kind of in the middle of reverse engineering around 7 different mods to upload and have over 250 characters I need to do the above process with so I'd really appreciate anyone that wants to give certain characters a bit of TLC

If it helps, this is a problem shared by vanilla settlers in the game, and the process you outline here is the only recommended way of modifying them as well, at least that I've ever seen described.

      Thank you vaultbait,
I have to admit though I really wanted someone to tell me I'm an idiot and there is an easier way to do it.
your comment cements my idea that this is the only way.

If my settlement mod I wanted to engineering didn't include over 250 named characters plus 200 hundred teens and 100 children I'd be feeling really good right now

Thank you very, very much for your quick answer.
I'm not a real modder myself. I don't even have the Creation Kit 'cause I don't know where to get it.
But I have FO4Edit and have already fiddled around with it a bit and I know Faceripper but don't have it and never used it.
Thanks to your very in depth answer some things are now more clear to me.
Once again, thank you very much for your answer and your explanation.

You can get the creation kit from this link Creation Kit (or https://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=Main_Page)
You have to make an account but it's all pretty simple from there on out.

To be honest I don't really count myself as a true modder either, I'm more of a fiddler/editor. I save the true modder title for people that actually create meshes, textures or do scripting.

You should have a go, but I have to warn you it can get a bit addictive. I've spent more time modding Fallout than I have actually playing it.

If you really want to start up, you will have to get used to face ripper, I would also recommend downloading Bodyslide and outfit studio. which is here BodySlide and Outfit Studio at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

A BSE extractor is also a must. B.A.E. - Bethesda Archive Extractor at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

While the whole thing can be a bit overwhelming at first the modding community here at nexus is amazing.

Pick something you want to do with the game and just concentrate on that. You will learn as you go along.

As I said I'm not brilliant at any of this, I have no background in computers and just taught myself with help from other people here on nexus.

If you have any questions I will always be happy to (try) to provide my meagre knowledge and help

Once again, thank you very much.
I've already downloaded that "netlauncher-thing" but didn't know what this could be because in that name is nothing of "Creation-Kit". So I left it untouched.
      But now I will try.
       Thanks

Concerning the female guard dialogue, I was wondering if you could extract enough appropriate comments from the female vault 81 guards? I was just listening to her lines with Lazy Voice Finder and there were a few there that I believe would work quite well.

Well that didn't work. Ignore my last reply, not sure what happened but if I click on it my whole computer stops working
I wanted to say I love the guard dog idea!!!!!
so I loaded up dogmeat and an open face helmet in outfit studio.
Check the photo I just uploaded in images.

I'm not saying I'm going to do this, like most things, I imagine it's probably far harder than I think, but that took less than 3 minutes to mock up, so who knows guard dogs could be coming to diamond city. As a nicety I'll even credit you for the idea.

I've been playing for a while with Diamond City Mega Patch and some of the mods that it covers (not sure which ones and it would take a while to figure out myself) are providing a lot of what's on your wishlist there, particularly a Police Protrectron in the lobby, some junkyard dogs in the outskirts who are friendly with the guards, and a vendor in the lobby (though she sells scrap not guard gear unfortunately).

Thank you all for your suggestionsI've made a stronger guard version plus added optional head gears as recommended by Magickingdom and DPnavpocI've given the guards better weapons, but there is a problem. DC Guards are a minimum of LV20 this means if one dies when you first encounter them fighting super mutants you'd be able to just pick up a combat rifle regardless of your level. I'm sure this wouldn't bother a lot of you but it just felt wrong to include in my mod. So I've made my own weapons list for the guards. They will still use pipe guns until level 21 to prevent people getting good guns too early. Then they will change to shotguns until level 25 and finally after that get combat rifles.I know I'm being presumptuous and asking for stuff but I accidentally deleted all my old saves while face ripping recently.

I have no saves over level 20 and I don't trust artificially levelling as a true testing method.Would anyone mind seeing if my new level lists work and letting me know.

I'd also really appreciate some feedback on if the perks added to the guards are sufficient

Thanks for publishing this! I'm currently testing whether it sufficiently replaces the (now ancient) Varied Diamond City Guards mod I've been using for ages.

There's already a varied diamond city guard mod!!!!
I searched for something like this for ages and got nothing, hence why I bothered making one myself. Bloody China I bet (I'm allowed to say that now)
I was modding this years ago, but lived in China, I could log on to nexus but half the stuff was blocked.

Please let me know your results. I would like to improve. So any suggestions are very welcome

The mod works as advertised.  Anyway to have an optional "keep the helmets on"?  One of my DC mods has the guards wearing , baseball hats, open face guard helmet and closed face guard helmets.

Sorry just woke up a bit ago. Note for all, too many night shifts followed by alcohol results in waking up on the floor.
Okay baseball hats and some helmets are easy as is Magickingdom's suggestion of making them stronger. As I said to the person below I'm primarily making these mods for friends that use consoles so that their games can look and play a bit more like mine. Do either of you know if the open faced helmet is part of the vanilla game? I could probably make it myself using alpha channels or outfit studio but if it's already in there I hate to give myself extra work.
I should be able to sort out an optional file with 25% helmet on, 25% baseball cap, 25% no helmet and if I can find it 25% open faced, I think the improved stats should just be in the main file and all versions of the mod, thanks Magickingdom for that. Although I probably wont make them as strong as the mod I think you are talking about. These are still Diamond city guards, I quite like the idea, that most, especially inside the walls are a bit Danny Sullivan-esque, they put on the talk but are rubbish in a fight. I hope to make your updates within a day or so but sadly tonight is out of the question, I've fallen off my sofa twice while writing this.

The vanilla army helmet is one, batting helmet another.
