Just installed, and something weird is going on. Initially, upon trying to place a Super Mutant mannequin, my game crashed. Reloading, right before pulling up the mannequin, I saved, and remined perfectly still. All of the Super Mutant mannequins rendered, and I could spin them around, but once I started to move, the game crashed again, in the same place.
I've been doing a Predator playthrough, and have built a trophy room in the Coastal Cottage settlement. I highlighted the Super Mutant mannequin right as I was crossing over the hole in the ground, so while it may be an unrelated coincidence, it may also just as likely be a factor, seeing as the hole has distinct ambient sounds that mute all other external audio, which made it perfect for displaying my skulls while the mannequins, weapons, and Power Armor displays were all placed on the floor above it.
Anyway, repeated crashes at Coastal Cottage, directly above the sinkhole when moving with a Super Mutant mannequin highlighted. Will test a little bit more.
Edit: Built the mannequin, THEN moved it; zero crashing. Repeated process, no crashes. Saw on other mod pages for mannequins that moving with an unbuilt mannequin causes crashing, so I'll take that as confirmation.
A mod like this already exists, and I have it, but what I really want is a super mutant version of this mod with the armed addon, cuz regular stiff mannequins suck.
Go ahead and post a link to it, by the way, I don't mind here. I've never been against mods doing the same thing as other mods, as long as it's not stealing from the original mod, especially if wasn't aware of the original. (heck, a whole lot of people take ""inspiration"" [I'm being polite] from my mods for instance...not that they ever say, of course, but too often do I see relatively similar mods shortly after posting my own...but, hey, whatev's...you do you, if that's what someone feels it appropriate behavior <shrug>) But, anywho, you (IsoDiadect) have my permission to make a patch to this mod and post it on Nexus if you feel you can improve upon it.
I have that other mod to here the link https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/41837 that was my biggest problem was the Mannequins of Super Mutants don"t look natural keep up the great work on mods
I don't know, but you have looked at the Super Mutant standing idle, yeah? 'Slouchy Boi.' <shrug>
Anywho, you (gedward1) have my permission to make a patch to this mod (I can't speak for the other mod, of course) and post it on Nexus if you feel you can improve upon it (by giving it the slouching pose, which is the normal idle standing idle for Super Mutants, or whatever).
@BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah Can you mimick the effect of the animated mannequins mod and its "armed" patch with your mod? Here's a screenshot of what they do, (although you can't tell about the "animated" part) but there are only humans not super mutants. Think real npcs that stand in place and do nothing who you can dress and (if you have the armed patch) can make hold weapons. (You can even change the appearance if you have looksmenu and related patches installed by opening up the console, clicking on the mannequin, and typing in "showlooksmenu *insert id number of mannequin here*".) They're not stiff but move like real npcs do when they stand still. I can't describe it any better than that, and you have to download the mod to see, but here's the shot. Do you think you can do this with super mutant mannequins? I have a mod that turns all supers besides behemoths into Brutes from Halo, complete with armor and weapons, and I want to be able to have animated brute mannequins fully animated and outfitted with their armor and weapons.
Actually, I wonder if it works with that one mod that makes female Super Mutants... Someone should try it with that mod. (unless I imagined that mod exists...only a vague memory of it, tbh)

Funnily enough an ‘alive’ one is actually already in there, on purpose, just not actively used in the mod, heh Figured I’d release an addon patch some other time…maybe as a replacer for regular Super Mutants, I don’t know, we’ll see.

Oooo, we made a Dog Armor Display Rack-Mannequin version too, like, ages ago!
Feel free to try that also.

Do not move with unbuilt mannequins.
Never seen it, if so.

Like the human ones.
Will have to wait for someone who is good with textures and modeling, though.
